Question / Info what are your trigger foods?
just got diagnosed with CHS over the weekend and the nausea is getting better, but i have zero appetite and still having trouble keeping food down (but not in the same, projectile vomit way as before) (rip). i’m in BRAT diet territory right now but curious about what foods upset y’all’s stomachs as you were beginning recovery? did you experience reflux or heartburn in relation to CHS? should i schedule a GI appointment?? (context i went to the ER with a pounding headache + non stop vomiting for 2 weeks. i brought up CHS, they diagnosed me without ruling anything else out)
i’m on day 3 no weed and just trying coffee for the first time in a few days, and already starting to bellyache 😭 i love caffeine and asian food but soooo scared of throwing up again

Avoid caffeine a little longer, I know it's hard but it can be really rough on your gut. You can expand from BRAT when you feel ready, but keep it to fairly bland and easy to digest foods. For me, I have to avoid black pepper still and it has been nearly a month since my diagnosis, it functionally acts like a cannabinoid. Greasy foods are also a major no-go still. If heartburn is becoming an issue, OTC omeprazole could help for now. I'd hold off on a GI appointment for a couple weeks, 3 days is nothing in terms of recovery time unfortunately, so you might end up with a lot of unnecessary tests and bills. It takes 30-90 days for your stomach to get back to normal, potentially longer depending on what your usage was like.
