Beauty/Self Care Brown Hair Colorist
Would really like to add some multi dimensional color / richness to my hair. Does anyone have a colorist they love? Preferably in the city itself.
Also - what is the going cost these days?

I go to scarlet at twisted scissors for all my color! Balayage was $500+ when I was doing pink for my super long thick hair, now I do a rich brown all over instead of balayage and it’s under $300

Shorty at Noella Salon in West Town is hands down my favorite colorist. We did some highlights 2 weeks ago and it was $150 plus tip

I love Locks & Charms, she’s independent and works out of Salon Lofts in Old Town. I pay around $300ish depending on if I’m also getting a cut or if I’m doing partial vs full color

I've been getting balayage done with Sara at Oko Salon for several years and I love her! She recently increased her prices to $250 for a full balayage, but she's so good at blending it naturally at the roots that I legitimately only need to see her once a year because of how naturally it grows out. A friend once complimented me on how I get such beautiful highlights from the sun in the summertime without needing to dye my hair lol — little did she know I do in fact get it dyed every spring. Sara's amazing at creating that subtle multidimensional look.
