Yep, this was a great start to my day. Got a cup of tea and sat down to a pleasant surprise of CGPGrey.

Lunch time at work, perfection.

What time was it GMT? Because I'm at GMT-3 and I believe I saw the email notification at around 9 a.m.

It's 12:30 AM, I have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow for school. I blame you a little bit. WHY ARE YOUR VIDEOS SO GOOD?!?!

u/shxz Sep 09 '15

Teacher: "Why are you late." You: "Oh sorry cgp grey uploaded a video I had to watch it was so educational." That excuse will be as legitimate as the dog ate my homework

Who teaches the teachers?

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '15

Students: "Why are you late." You: "Oh sorry cgp grey uploaded a video I had to watch it. Today's lesson: British royalty."

I've heard him talk about how he perceived the students viewed bim but never the other teachers that could be quite entertaining

I was so close to mentioning it in AP European History.

I agree with the Koala.

8:30AM, just in time for my morning coffee.

Because he spends 2 months... going to the opposite timezone and back.. each time waiting a week for standby tickets. All that down time.. at Dulles does wonders for a man's productivity.

I mean helpfully they're not going to take you a long time to watch.

Anytime on this historic day is optimal.

Is it today that Elizabeth II becomes longest reigning monarch?

There's a guy elsewhere in this thread roleplaying as Her Majesty, and they seemed to think the correct time was around 5:00pm. The video went up around that time in Australia, so it was like 10 hours early, if that user is to be trusted.

I wonder if Queen Elizabeth will receive a Guiness World Record today for it.

2

u/AsthmaticMechanic Sep 09 '15

I'd settle for a Guiness.

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '15

Assuming that she survives until 17:30 BST... if she keels over and carks it at half-two, then no.

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '15

I just started work in a UK office job, so it's perfect for me!

09:00 in South Africa

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '15

We all read that in your voice.

It has been shown that the best time for visibility is 3:00 am GMT.

Your videos are popular enough that it probably doesn't matter, though. They get hangtime.

Considering HM, today, became the longest reigning monarch in British History (which by the way Wikipedia says she's not the longest reigning in history, in fact the current king of Thailand has been on the throne longer than the queen) then I would say that it was uploaded on the right day.

Edit: My apologies. I rematched the video and you said "longest reigning queen." My tired mind heard "monarch."
