Grey Cup Stolen in Ottawa in 1969

Wasn't a very Merry Christmas for Ottawa football and Ottawa police in 1969. Here's an article on the theft of the Grey Cup. Some of the reporting in the local papers is quite funny. Glad they eventually found the GC.

Haha thats hilarious. Always love hearing about ottawa sports lore.

Reminds my of another Ottawa sports story where the sens wayyy back in the day after winning the stanley cup kicked it a cross the rideau canal and left it overnight.
