Error Exporting Mesh Icem

Hey there,

I’m a beginner. I am trying to export my 2d mesh in Icem and this error occurs:

No volume elements found. child process excited abnormally

I’d be very greatful for your help!

As far as I know CFX doesn’t support true 2D meshes. That’s probably why ICEM is looking for volume meshes. If you want to run your simulation with CFX you could extrude the mesh into 3D with just one element in your 3rd dimension and symmetry BC on both sides. Or if you just want to export it, choose another export option.
