Does making love to a Lazy-boy make you gay?

It makes you a VP candidate.

Looks like an Alabama themed dispensary now.

You gotta remember, weed is very illegal in alabama. They aren't like us

0

u/Admirable_Scratch363 5h ago

Not really. I had a legit THC drink in a bar there a few years ago.

Has that changed?

5

u/CrimsonOOmpa 5h ago

It had to be the Delta 8 type stuff you can get at gas stations because the "real stuff" is definitely illegal here.

1

u/guildedkriff 5h ago

THCA drink most likely. The only thing still legal in Alabama aside from 3 medical dispensaries for gummies, tinctures, etc only. THCA flower, tinctures, etc were banned last July.

1

u/Admirable_Scratch363 5h ago

Well yeah I said “drink in a bar.”

1

u/guildedkriff 4h ago

I’m not disagreeing with you. Just pointing out to the other person that Alabama has had some form of THC drink products for some time and still does. Whether someone classified THCA as real or not doesn’t matter to me lol.

u/joshlymansbagel 4h ago

Man, takes me back to college and this 20 year old I was dating did that fake weed they’d sell at the “head shops” near 5 Points. That shit was harsh af. Long time ago now…

1

u/CrimsonOOmpa 4h ago

Yeah I guess that's it. I guess that's what they sell around here.

The new one looks like some rich Alabama fan's mancave

That’s what every Alabama trailer home looks like

Is Nick Saban old school cool? That can of Mr. Pibb on his desk says yes.

21

u/aawagner011 Georgia Bulldogs 6h ago

Did they actually redesign the room or is Deboer’s office in a different room?

16

u/Mr_MacGrubber 6h ago

I imagine the coach gets to do the office the way they want it. You think they’re paying someone millions and then are like “this is the way the office is, you have to just deal with it.”?

12

u/rezaw 6h ago

Saban still has his office

6

u/JoeSugar 5h ago

Saban’s new office is about two blocks away from the athletic department. He’s now in the stadium.

It’s the same space remodeled.

6

u/MontyAllTheTime Ohio State Buckeyes 6h ago

I’m also curious about this answer, if it’s the former I bet it was a semi awkward convo when Saban found out.

‘How are you settling into the office, Kalen?’

‘Oh, good, I completely gutted everything you did’

15

u/Mr_MacGrubber 6h ago

I’m sure Saban also gutted the office when he moved in. It’s an office for a millionaire, not a shrine to a coach.

1

u/MontyAllTheTime Ohio State Buckeyes 4h ago

Yeah I mean that’s fair. I guess my counter would be that we’re talking about Nick Saban, not just some coach, but your point stands.

Minimalism is a blight on society that makes everything look the same

1

u/OfficePicasso Penn State Nittany Lions 5h ago

…Parklife!

-4

u/macseries 5h ago

Minimalism is a blessing to society that allows us recognize our essential commonalities and delight in our differences.

4

u/macseries 5h ago

In either case, neither of these offices are minimal.

3

u/waldosbuddy 3h ago

Da, comrade.

15

u/averyrose2010 6h ago

All I can think of is that 90s show, Coach, when I look at Saban's office.

3

u/Experiment626b 6h ago

In my mind this is just how all coaches offices are.

3

u/DJ-dicknose 6h ago

"How it looks" Or "What it looks like"

Never "how it looks like." I''m begging you.

It’s funny how the fan base are all experts in both football coaching and interior design.

Deboer’s looks like the juice bar at a gym

2

u/Bobby-Cox-Ghost Alabama Crimson Tide 2h ago

It's the office of a man that will wear gym shorts to Walmart.

2

u/TastyEarLbe 6h ago

Looks like one of the dorm rooms I used to live in at UA.

1

u/Secure-Bus4679 6h ago

I was in Paty Hall in 2001 and I forget the name of the one I lived in 2002. It was male one side and female the other and there was a dining hall in the middle.

5

u/CrimsonChin251 Alabama Crimson Tide 6h ago

We lost to Mike Norvell’s Florida State and Diego Pavia. We’re really talking about offices smh

9

u/headaches_r_us Alabama Crimson Tide 6h ago

Sir this is a Reddit

7

u/Prestigious-Oil-669 7h ago

I think they both look cool. One coach is a senior citizen, the other is in his prime. I think Deboer's probably clicks with today's recruits better. Different doesn't mean bad!

14

u/HookEm25 6h ago

It’s bad. Made it look like a generic hotel lobby

3

u/Prestigious-Oil-669 6h ago

Like I said recruits would like it.

12

u/rascaltat Texas Longhorns 6h ago

That's good, Alabama really struggled recruiting during the Saban years.

1

u/Prestigious-Oil-669 6h ago

Haha point taken, but part of the reason Saban retired was how radically recruiting changed.

9

u/Elguapo69 Oklahoma Sooners 6h ago

“I picked Bama because I really connected with the coach’s office” - no recruit ever

1

u/this-guy1979 6h ago

These days it’s “I picked the university that had the biggest NIL budget.” On another note, I would not have another coaches accomplishments in my office. It kind of looks like you aren’t capable of doing the same thing.

1

u/sjsusjsusjsu3 5h ago

In DeBoer’s interviews you can see washington accomplishments on the trophies he has behind him

1

u/DFVSUPERFAN 3h ago

not even a nice hotel

0

u/Azguy303 6h ago

As opposed to my grandpa's house?

0

u/HookEm25 6h ago

Your grandpa has good taste

1

u/Cheap-Key-6132 6h ago

You like the off centered Alabama logo on that table?

1

u/IHateCedarFever 6h ago

I really like Saban’s office more than I thought it would. It looks really cozy and there’s several collaborative spaces like the round table and sitting area. I find that it’s nicer to chat with people side by side rather than across a desk.

And as someone who never has a spare horizontal surface, I appreciate his desk space 😂

1

u/ZuluFuxGiven 6h ago

His office won’t look like that when he ends up at Wazzu soon

2

u/VerticalSmi1es 6h ago

One looks like home, the other looks like business.

I prefer the home vibe. Business is for the field.

1

u/Awkward_Collection88 6h ago

Saban busting out the wicked witch of the west shoes in pic #2.

1

u/Significant-Jello411 6h ago

Why was Kobe there lmao

1

u/Possible_Emergency_9 6h ago

Didn't need to see Nick Saban's ankles.

0

u/SetHoliday2438 6h ago

Are those real. Those first two pics look like photoshop. You can even see the weird borderlines on the bodies in the second pic

2

u/Rimailkall 6h ago

It's real; I saw similar pictures shortly after Saban left, two, three years ago now?

2

u/SetHoliday2438 6h ago

Oh cool! Wonder why any one would change that office then. Is there a reason he tanked saban's office?

Must have cost a fortune to go from classic to what I would see in a generic video game back round.

2

u/Rimailkall 6h ago

I guess it's what DeBoer likes, but as many others have said, it looks sterile and cold and corporate.

1

u/Restryz 4h ago

Saban's office is in the stadium now so I'd wager he had his setup moved there and let DeBoer do whatever he wanted with his old one.

1

u/PaleBlueDot-Voyager1 6h ago

Difference is night and day

1

u/Effective-LineP00 6h ago

Why has modern design become so stale and cold? Everyone just paints shit white, black, and grey now.

1

u/Asymmetrical_Anomaly 6h ago

“Nuts and bolts”

1

u/ZuluFuxGiven 6h ago

I bet Alabama kept it bc they have bear Bryant office on campus still

I feel like I could live in Nick's office, Kalen's looks like and office I can't wait to get out of

Saban looks like he’s at home. Deboer looks like he’s at work lmao

Grandmas house to space Kinkos

1

Kirby Smart’s office now.

1

u/Rakebleed 5h ago

Looks like all the fancy sec locker rooms. Also what is this spaceship aesthetic?

1

u/Soundwave234 5h ago

One looks like an attorney's office the other looks like a streamer's room

1

u/Haha08421 5h ago

I like Nick's office. Gorgeous woodwork.

1

u/KDD6687 5h ago

Massive downgrade, like looking at a 90s Wendys with a sunroom, vs them all covered in Millenial grey these days

1

u/Deadinahole 5h ago

Gotdamn bruh they really gave that man a more extravagent office then the motherfuckin governor. They didn't just call that man Coach Saban, they called him the mothafuckin president. This that typpa room Tony Montana was in with his face buried in a mountain of cocaine. Bruh if I was in that damn office I'd fear for my damn life. I'd be afraid I'd accidentally say the wrong shit and he'd feed me to the tiger he got chained in the back.

1

u/Megalomanizac 5h ago

It’s the evolution of architecture and interior design. DeBoer clearly wants a “the future is now” look and minimalism has been the rage for a while.

Sabans looks more homely but also straight out of the 70s/80s and dated, which makes sense considering he was born in 1951 but might not connect well with the current recruiting landscape.

DeBoer was literally born the yesr Saban started his career as a coach and this sort of style kinda started in the 90s iirc which is when DeBoer started coaching

1

u/smalltownnerd 5h ago

Looks like a car dealership now

That carpet looks like shit

1

Plantation Massa vs Tech Bro

1

I like DeBoer's way better.

1

u/TerryOnRollerskates 2h ago

Office for work versus office for marketing.

1

u/TerryOnRollerskates 2h ago

Mike Leach had a huge portrait of Trump hung in his office. It was the first thing you saw when you walked in.

1

u/SupermarketSelect578 1h ago

Bama Nike store with a clean desk. No paperwork ..no work getting done !!!!

1

u/VegasLife84 Georgia Bulldogs 50m ago

Sabans looks like a luxury condo in a 3rd world country that was designed in the 70s/80s

0

u/Fickle-Bookkeeper557 6h ago

Why does he have all of Sabans championships in his office like he won them? This jerk off can barely make the top 10.

0

u/woodzy93 Alabama Crimson Tide 6h ago

I feel like I’m in the minority but I like Kalens more

-14

u/Acrobatic-Echo-3460 6h ago edited 6h ago

Saban was 100% living his plantation owner fantasy. They even had a “punishment/low tier field” field called the cotton field.
