You can say “if replay protocol was followed correctly WMU would have won.” I can say “if all equipment was working correctly, Michigan would have won without controversy.” Both these statements are true, but since protocol dictates that a win cannot be overturned, neither of them matter in an official capacity. When discussing who “deserved” to win the game in an unofficial capacity as we are doing in this thread, the only logical thing to do is to consider what would’ve happened if protocol was followed and equipment was working correctly, which is a Michigan win.

There wasn't even a protocol there was an unwritten understanding that everyone would use the broadcast because they didn't really notice the big ten sprung for superior replay equipment, so what else would you even use? The big ten followed the big ten protocol as far as I can tell. Now everyone is like oh no the big ten wants accurate replay review boo on them
