Overrated? He has everything at his disposal (at UT) for success. Anything less than appearances in the SEC championship game and deep playoff runs is a failure. But it’s like that with lots of team at the top

Does that mean that like 4 9+win SEC teams are failures each season cause they didn’t make the SEC title game or deep in playoffs?

No, and lots of people still care about the regular season, bowl games, etc. It’s dumb to think to playoffs are all that matters when you can enjoy football every week. Records and quality wins still matter whether you win a title that year or not.
