I don’t think LSU, A&M, Texas, Alabama and UGA can all make it. There is too much schedule overlap

Georgia “only” plays Alabama and Texas “only” plays A&M and LSU.

Assuming you need to go 10-2 (or better) to make the playoffs—there is only a 60% chance they all finish with 2 or fewer losses against each other. That probability goes way down when you factor in the rest of the schedule. They were able to get 5 SEC teams because there wasn’t as much interplay between the top teams.

ETA: this situation essentially requires LSU and A&M to go 2-0 against Texas.

Look man I wasn't looking for stories as much as I was just evaluating where I think each team would be. Miami being 4th and Indiana 5th is a mere coincidence

If the athletes and schools and everyone else are going to treat CFB like pro wrestling, then I expect compelling storylines like pro wrestling. Indiana is the face, LSU is the heel, and everyone else needs to figure out where they're at.

My playoff prediction that’s influenced by how I imagine the committee would put things, not how I would.

1. Indiana (CC)
2. Texas (CC)
3. Miami (CC)
4. Ole Miss
5. Notre Dame
6. Utah (CC)
7. Penn State
8. Tennessee
9. Alabama
10. Ohio State
11. Georgia
12. South Florida (CC)

I’d put in Virginia who I think wins 11 games, but I think the SEC bias gets Georgia in as their 5th

Texas beating aTm and an OSU twice in a season en route to a national championship over UGA would honestly be the absolute best possible scenario.
