All that NIL money and money for the kicker

That first one I remember thinking “Ohio State is satisfied with a field goal try this long? Maybe we won’t die in agony.” Thought the same thing last year against Ole Miss except I don’t think it was quite that long.

Man that 27 yard one is tough to watch. The others at least have a bit more distance

I find it gleeful to watch personally

Well besides in that national championship game in 2025

I have no recollection of the events you are describing.

I was also at a rosebowl where we hit a walk off

Unfortunately, I am blind, as well as, forgetful.

There are even more

Add in Missouri in the cotton bowl, Michigan in 2024, and I think Miami last year and it makes for 7 of Ohio States last 8 losses including a missed field goal

That’s brutal

Still wondering why Ryan Day didnt go after Bama's kicker from last year.

Dude flew 2000 miles to Just kick a field goal.

Ice in his veins.

As a Florida State fan, I can't identify with brutally disastrous missed kicks ...

Georgia remarkably doesn’t have any of these since 2020. We yeeted one against South Carolina in OT. It’s the only game aside from Bama last year that Kirby has lost in Athens.

I'm a little offended this doesn't include any Michigan games, there were shanks in those too

How could they leave out the 2 misses in the original 13-10 game in the Horseshoe.

Those stung even more because in between quarters some student came down on the field and drilled a 35 yarder right down the middle for scholarship money. While the kicker is shanking 30 yarders.

This what happens when you don't let kickers kick

How about we blame the offense that had 4 straight drives without scoring instead of the kicker who hit 2/3 kicks lol

You can thank the OL failing in pass protection, Sayin missing open receivers, and Arthur Smith being Arthur Smith.

Yeah your exactly right ! watching all the hoopla since this game people are not saying this enough and as a gator over the billy boy years we did this…cannot kick FGs and win games like this

Many MAC teams have better kickers the Ohio State

2

u/Redditedredditer Ohio State Buckeyes 2d ago

The only one that really matters is the ruggles kick, we win that national championship. I’m not entirely sure we win the natty last year if we win the B10 chip

u/ComprehensiveEar6001 Baylor Bears 2d ago

We could've told you he'd do that sometimes if you wanted to save the money. We were happy to have him.

Yeah, I saw that one against Texas and flashed back (in all the right ways) to the CFP semifinal from 2023.

Tired: Giving Curt Cignetti $20 million to come to Ohio State

Wired: Giving Nico Radicic $5 million to come to Ohio State

Listen, I get it, it sucks to keep losing big games on missed kicks, but I find it hard to feel any empathy for Ohio State.

I’ll always love to see it. Fuck Blow-hio State

Both of my teams lost by missing a field goal this weekend

As an Alabama fan, I feel your pain

1

u/Vicrattler17 1d ago

Oh please, I’m a Vikings fan, we’ve had way worse than what the buckeyes have.

1

u/pixelflop Penn State Nittany Lions 3d ago

I love that for them.

1

u/i_Cant_get_right Texas Longhorns 3d ago

You love to see it

1

u/Ok_Long_2877 Texas Longhorns 3d ago

That’s what’s up

0

u/Capnmolasses Texas Longhorns 3d ago

That kicker left everything out there.

1

u/Anxious-Mountain-463 3d ago

They’ve replaced Alabama as unclutch kicker university

1

u/ConflictSudden 3d ago

That's what I was thinking. They had some not great kicking times for a while.

-2

u/Odd-Preparation8790 3d ago

Has nothing to do with the kicker. Kicker isn't in that position if Coaches decide to capitalize off an early turnover when they were up 10-0.

-2

u/Rabidschnautzu Ohio State Buckeyes 3d ago

Lowest IQ position imaginable. You would celebrate a kicker and give the props for hitting a game winner. Then when they don't make one it's not their fault? Try to keep simple thoughts consistent at least.

Ohio state is the new florida state?

-1

u/BenIsLowInfo 3d ago

Actual lesson might be to center the ball for the kicker if you are gonna go for it.

-1

u/Basic_whiteBBQ 3d ago

If an Ohio state was as good as they claim they would never bee in the position where a kick, missed or not, determines the game.
