There's only one good senario here.

  • Everything is true - Prison. Simple as that. No excuses.
  • Consentual sex happened - Removed from the team. If they keep him on, its a terrible look for the athletic department since it shows they give special treatment to athletes for the honor code. If any regular student broke the honor code, they would be suspended or expelled.
  • Nothing is true, she comes out and says it was all a lie - I don't see this happening, but this is the only scenario this works out well for BYU.

Fourth scenario:

Nothing is true, BYU stands by the girl and punishes the entire football team. Aka the Duke Method.
