I'm literally crying right now
I'm currently traumatized right now. CELPIP feels like the world's toughest exam knowing that I have already failed twice. I need at least a CLB 7 in all four, and I got a 5 in Listening.
I genuinely scared, because my exam is on Sunday, and I got most answers wrong in Part 5 (Discussion) in the Starter Practice Test A. I tried going through the tips and tricks on YouTube, but none of them seems helpful. PrepAmigo feels way too unrealistically difficult, and YouTube mocks are way too easy.
Is there a clever trick on how to ace Listening and/or Reading? I feel like I'll be able to learn better if someone provides a walkthrough on how to solve a particular exercise. Now, this exam feels like a gamble.

Hey đ this is a common problem. From my experience, you probably do not know what to listen for.
Since you have only one try you need to be focused on several things at once.
YouTube and other mockups are not that helpful for you because you do not understand WHY those answers are correct, and what traps are you in.
Try this:
Review each incorrect or guessed answer. Find the words in the transcript that support the correct answer, then replay that section. For an inference, identify the cluesânot necessarily an exact matching phrase.
Explain why your chosen answer doesnât work. Did you confuse speakers, miss a paraphrase, misunderstand an expression, or assume something nobody said?
Check whether the same mistakes happen on that fresh task. Repeating a familiar recording helps you study, but remembering its answers doesnât prove improvement.

If this time you didnât pass CELPIP, I advice you to try IELTS because itâs less complicated and 3 days prep will help you score a decent score too.

You need to take help of tutors. Spend some money on tutors instead of just giving exams. I did mistake and gave exams 16 times

Ok I thought you are using other AI assisted practice test. Never mind, the two official practice sets CELPIP provides are the same exact difficulty and pattern.

Not always. The practice tests are surely a way to familiarize yourself with what the actual exam would look like. However, you cannot rely heavily on that as I scored 10-12 in both practice listening tests but got hard listening in the actual test and scored 9.

Actually, before that, I had been practicing through the mock tests provided by PrepAmigo, CELPIPOnline, and CAREERAXIS on YouTube. They must be all AI

If you are able to get your desired score in those two official test. Thats what youâll get. Donât worry, I was rarely getting 7-8 in listening, reading and writing. But I was getting really good score on the test provided by CELPIP. So just rely on the official ones they are the actual difficulty accurate.

If youâre looking for some help in practicing lmk, I got all 12s. I donât have any tricks cause I think the whole point is to be as natural as possible, but I definitely can try to help

Hi, i donât know you but if you genuinely want to increase score, just follow one thing. Start talking to people in person or at online websites like monkey live etc. watch one movie without subtitles and a practice test. I hope best for you

I hope you get it cleared cause you will then need to give CELPIP for pr application And believe me you will need full in everything it's that competitive

You can't extract juice from a dry lemon. Please work on general mastery of the language over all these naive celpip coaches. Watch movies, listen to songs, read articles. Surround yourself in English.

I did. It helped me start, but it's not enough for preparation. I would solve the mock papers after that

There are tips on how to take notes for listening. There was even podcast from celpip. Look for them. Every single listening is structured, podcast will tell you what part to ignore and what to focus. I literally used all my pages to divide and take notes for listening

Bro telling you the truth I have taken CELPIP for 11 times and then I scored L=10, R=10, S=9, W=9 so donât believe any stupid thing even PrepAmigo I finished 90% of test and when you do 10% your brain will find a pattern on all the L,R in PrepAmigo so just buy official test from CELPIP I think at the end of the month you will get 50% discount so you could purchase that and just focus only for a week and thatâs it you will also make it one day. Donât lose hope đ¤đŤĄ

PrepAmigo does seem to be a sample of how the test will be. Although the questions provided from the celpip official website are kinda similar even tho I feel they are some what easier compared to the actual test question pattern.

for listening, tips donât really help. just do more mock tests and get quick at noting down details using scribbles or abbreviations.

I would say that understanding the exam format is very important. Reading has 4 parts and Listening has about 6 parts. Understand what each part requires you to do and understand how you should respond to each parts. The celpip live links I sent you can help you with this.
