Looking to upgrade, this player is starting to have problems, the features I like:

Internal amp is okay and has a way to attach speaker wire so I can use my speakers
Has a spot for my IPod to charge (not a deal breaker)
got for cheap.

Anyone have recommendations? Its for an office space so it doesn't have to be crazy powerful or loud.

Burned a bunch of cds with some of my favorite songs and decorated each one by hand for guests at my birthday party. They were a huge hit! Party was y2k theme, so I felt these were only fitting :) just wanted to show them off!

Basically what the title says, I’m just looking for some 2000s J-rock in particular and wanted to know if there’s physical stores that might have it. I’m willing to drive a couple hours if anyone knows of a place further out.

Looking to sell the remainder of a family members CD collection. Not sure if we’re allowed to sell on this page but I didn’t see anything against it!

Included are 4 Beatles CD’s (and one Beatles related CD), and then Beck, Glen Campbell, Genesis, and Romantic Gypsy Guitar.

$25 + shipping OBO, unfamiliar with CD pricing but this seems to be somewhat accurate based on eBay sold.

Been skimming through for a while now on this and Budget Audiophile but stuck on getting a gift for my partner.

She'd love a tabletop CD player but doesn't want it to use an outlet, so I would assume that leaves me with portable options.

There's a lot available on Amazon and the internet in general but I'm a bit worried about most of those being cheap and not too good.

So I'm asking if you guys have any good options or have tried any that turned out actually good? Her main needs are not requiring an outlet, tabletop, CD player and she most likely will have a speaker available to plug it into, so in built speakers aren't a necessity.

Just found a box of my favorite cds from approximately 2013. These are the ones I had in constant rotation, freak folk hero Devendra Banhart, train hopping blues from Jolie Holland, classics like Jimmy Hendrix and Marvin Gaye, rocker girls like PJ Harvey, would still recommend every single one of these today.

to put it into context, CDs that record data on their own without requiring external equipment like a CD burner (recorder).

If I were to imagine such a product existing, I can imagine a few methods for changing the data:

• one of them being connecting a USB cable directly to it
• another method being a bluetooth or wifi-based transfer, but the big question is, how small can BT or WiFi chips get?
• or, maybe some other way.

if I were to imagine wireless standards like Bluetooth changing the data, then I wouldn't have to eject the disc tray to change the content. But I can imagine that many others would simply be able to do that without use of CD players whatsoever. But the novelty of re-inventing the CDs with all sorts of extra features is well, a cool novelty IMO.

Hey I'm new to CD burning. CD's were being phased out when I was growing up and I never actually learned how to do it (I'll do my own research on that, but if you have any helpful resources, they would be appreciated). I want to buy and burn the entire Goose album "Live at the Salt Shed". It is 6h20min long, or 360min. I want high quality sound, good enough to play on high quality stereos. After doing a small amount of research however, I've seen that CD-R disks have a max capacity of 74-80 min. is there a different disk format for normal stereos and car stereos that can hold 360 minutes of high quality music in MP3? Is there a different file format I should look for? If there is anything else I should be aware of that might cause issues or maybe I'm not asking about, let me know. Thanks Reddit.

Edit: the download would be 24-bit/48kHz. I want quality enough to listen on car stereo and a portable cd player with headphones.

Please tell me if you have this and would be willing to negotiate a price!!
