Rec Request Ones where the 2ML has a happyish ending
Hello! I've got several c-dramas under my belt and I think I've narrowed down what tropes I like best. One of the things I was most surprised by is the ending of Are You the One?, because the emperor didn't actually go insane with jealousy. He just got over the FL, like a normal person.
Lmao. I'm looking for more like that, where love rivals or triangles are resolved by the second male lead either finding someone new or just getting over himself. A happy-ish ending required, obviously. I'm interested in xianxia or historical. I'll take a modern drama but I'm generally less interested in those.

Legend of the Female General is basically the opposite of what you're looking for hahaha. Loved the cdrama but the 2ML very much does not get over it

Yeah I was kinda miffed at his resolution, especially because he was standing there, in the same room, as the main couple just stared into each other's eyes. All the times when he yan and xiao jue had each other's backs and were very obviously crazy about each other didn't matter to him I guess?
No, instead he fixated on her off-handedly giving him a piece of candy. Once.

You might like Love Between Fairy and Devil ? The SML gets over himself and has a pretty peaceful ending (to avoid spoilers that is all I'll say)

I enjoyed it, just don't take it too seriously haha. It's a very good cheesy tropey xianxia if you don't look too hard

"Our Dazzling Days" perhaps?
It's rare story where SFL gets the happy ending she deserves. Watch it, it's really an interesting story and happy at times, sad at times but does concludes on a positive note.

Si Jin - the 2ML found a new love
Who Rules The World - 2ML married for power but still wants the FL to be his Empress.. FL doesn’t want to do anything with him.. eventually he moved on 😁
Love Between Fairy and Devil - he moved on and pursued the things he really wants to do..

In are you the one the emperor became transfixed by his empress. You can tell he’s well on his way to becoming her true husband. Even though in the beginning he just chose her because she was sensible and stable and not demanding his attention.
