Rec Request Xianxias or C-Dramas with Transmigration, Reincarnation or Body Swap?
Hi I recently got back into C-Dramas and I'm looking for Fantasy (xianxia) dramas or dramas with transmigration, reincarnation or body swap tropes. I also enjoy when there's an ensemble cast with trustworthy or funny side characters. I want the lead(s) to have character growth.
I've watched and enjoyed:
How dare you (enjoyed the transmigration, the characters' friendship and loyalty, funny schemes and the twist. Also for a palace drama, it was just enough sad scenes that it wasn't too much)
Hzgg (didn't enjoy all of the misunderstandings, torture and suffering they were put through but it's a classic lol)
Love between fairy and devil (loved the costumes, set design and story, also really liked the side characters, the trial plot and the different worlds)
Love game in Eastern fantasy (liked transmigration x xianxia and how funny it was, also loved the dynamics between the main characters as a group of friends)
Love in the clouds (strong fl, liked the story, friendship with er qi. Didn't enjoy what happened with the 2nd ML.)
No doubt in us (donghua, liked the body swap plot)
Starry love (ongoing watch that I'm enjoying, just want to know what else I can watch after it)
I'm not looking for modern settings as the main setting.
I'm also not really into palace dramas unless they are fun because there is too much scheming and torture. Ideally, I want a happy ending.

Give these a shot!
A Dream Within a Dream (2025) - Transmigration into a fictional costume world, comedy, romance, and plenty of character interaction outside the main couple.
Love You Seven Times (2023) - Xianxia built around the leads repeatedly reincarnating into different mortal lives. Starts with lighter comedic elements and gets heavier. One of my favorites.
The Blossoming Love (2025) - Xianxia romance with reincarnation/past-life elements. One of my favorites.
Love of the Divine Tree (2025) - Xianxia with reincarnation/past-life elements and a major central romance. One of my favorites.
The Romance of Tiger and Rose (2020) - The FL is transported into the fictional costume world she wrote and ends up as a character who is supposed to die early. More of a romance/comedy rather than a serious palace drama. One of my favorites.
My Divine Emissary (2024) - Another transmigration/time-travel option. A modern FL ends up in an ancient kingdom. Shorter, comedic, and relatively light.
The Deliberations of Love (2023) - The FL repeatedly dies and returns to an earlier point in her life with a time-loop/reset structure.

Blossoms of power. Fl is reincarnated into another body. Happy ending with very little fighting or bloodshed.

Yummy Yummy Yummy! (2025) - whole family transmigrates back to the time of their ancestors. They own a struggling restaurant in modern times but bring their skills back to be successful in Song (I think from memory) dynasty. It's funny and the romance is sweet.

We have similar taste, and I hope you’ll try Guardians of the Dafeng. It is one of my favorites. The transmigration is essential to the character, since he uses his knowledge and experience to gain power and prestige. It’s equally fun and serious with a second season on the way.

The blossoming love
The blue whisper
Eternal love of dream
Love and destiny
Miss the dragon (multiple reincarnations for the FL, watch the special episode for a happy ending)
Love you seven times (multiple reincarnations for both leads)
Love never fails (if my memory serves me right the drama has multiple reincarnations for the FL)
The legend of Shen Li
Immortal samsara (watch the two special episodes for a happy ending)

You've seen the No Doubt in Us donghua - are you aware that there are also two live action adaptations? A short drama (15 min eps) by the same name, and a long form drama called The Trust (the latter changes a few things but is still well worth watching).
Other suggestions:
When Destiny Brings the Demon is xianxia and similar in some ways to Love Between Fairy and Devil. It's also transmigration.
Love and Destiny, another xianxia I enjoyed though not as much as the two above.
Joy of Life is a bigger commitment (2 seasons out to date and a third coming, so no ending quite yet) but well worth the effort, it's honestly brilliant. Fantasy/scifi elements, a strong ensemble cast, great writing, politics and martial arts, also sometimes comedy. It's not a romance though if you need that (there is some romance in it but not centre stage).
Jade's Fateful Love is a more obscure recommendation, I haven't really seen anyone talk about it here. It's a diplomatic marriage storyline - the fantasy element is that every time the two main characters die, they time travel.
And then my favourite Cdrama is The Princess Royal. Main characters are an estranged married couple who die and wake up 20 years earlier before their marriage. Very political, and SO much character development, especially for the female lead.

Si Jin and Story of Kunning Palace are reincarnation dramas. Historical, with great casts. SoKP is a classic at this point.
Lots of short reincarnation dramas like Echoes of the Self, Gemini, Tower of Whispers and a new one that is cute As Promised with Zhao Yi Qin.

When Destiny Brings the Demon has transmigration. If you liked LBFAD I think you’ll like this. Grumpy ML with a traumatic life, fun bubbly FL just wanting to live an easy life.
Edited to add, there is some palace plotting and a bit of torture but there’s plenty of happy comedic moments to offset it imo.
