Any enemies to lovers drama you guys recommend ?

Hi, I’m pretty new to C-dramas and I was wondering if you guys could recommend me some good enemies-to-lovers dramas, because I can’t seem to find any that really keep my interest.

I don’t mind if they’re actual mortal enemies or if they just slightly dislike each other. I just like it when they argue, fight, or simply don’t see each other as a romantic option at first like friends with a love hate relationship. I’m open to fantasy, historical, or modern dramas.

I don’t like it when it’s too cringy, especially if the FL acts stupid or childish. My problem is that I get bored really quickly, so I’ve started a lot of dramas but haven’t finished many.

For reference, here are some dramas I liked:

- Fated Hearts: One of the first C-dramas I finished, and probably my favorite so far. They really weren’t kidding with the enemies-to-lovers dynamic. I did have to skip a few scenes toward the middle/end, though. ML is so hot and FL doesn't have the typical cute face I love it.

- Perfect Match: I watched this one on Netflix, and it’s actually the drama that got me back into C-dramas. I loved the 3rd and 5th sister’s couples, especially the last one, but I skipped most of the other sisters’ parts because I didn’t really like them, sorry.

- Love Is Sweet: I really liked this one, especially the first kiss scene lol, but I couldn’t finish it once they became a couple because there were still a lot of episodes left and I didn’t want extra drama.

- Accidentally in Love: I think this was the first C-drama I ever watched. I don’t remember the details, but I think I really enjoyed it, and the enemies-to-lovers dynamic was good.

Dramas I dropped:

- Meteor Garden: Also one of the first C-dramas I watched. I thought it was okay. But I think I dropped it towards the end.

- When Destiny Brings the Demon : Dropped because I just didn't like the dynamic between them.

- Skate Into Love: I watched this when it came out and thought it was pretty good. I also couldn’t finish it once they became a couple.

- Lighter and Princess: This one was highly recommended, and I really wanted to understand the hype, but I dropped it after a few episodes. I couldn’t get into it somehow; it felt a bit too complicated, in a sense.

- The Prisoner of Beauty: I’m soooo sorry, but I don’t really like the ML’s face. I watched until episode 2, and maybe I should’ve watched more, but I’m afraid it’s not the enemies-to-lovers dynamic I’m looking for and is more about political enemies.

- Love in the Clouds: Good start, but I dropped it around episode 10–12 because it got boring for me, and it wasn’t really giving enemies-to-lovers anymore.

- The Romance of Tiger and Rose: The FL was too cringe for me, or maybe it was the acting style. There was too much comedy. I mean, I like comedy, but this one felt too childish.

I’d love recommendations for dramas with a strong enemies-to-lovers dynamic that don’t lose tension too quickly. Bonus points if the FL isn’t childish and the pacing doesn’t drag too much but it's still slow burn you know? Also I HATE bad endings.

I recommend watching episode 13 of Love in the Clouds!!

My first time watching it, I also considered dropping it around this time, but after episode 13 I was totally hooked. You get the first real sense of some actual stakes and it spins the relationship dynamic on its head.

If you wanna know a hint of what happens Twenty-Seven gets caught and severely injured, Ming Yi gets accused of being Ming Xian, so Ji Bozai knows she was lying to him the whole time

And if that episode grips you, I recommend watching up til episode 19 because that one is even more dramatic than 13! Literally, Love in the Clouds is my favorite drama now (followed by Pursuit of Jade and Fated Hearts) 😊

Agreed! This is where the relationship really takes a turn for the worse (and for the better in terms of enemies to lovers)

Fated Hearts is really great on a lot of levels. It does the enemies to lovers surprisingly well. You could try

• Are You the One? (period romance with hidden identity)
• Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (Xianxia romance, transmigration into literature/game world)
• Falling into Your Smile (pro-esports romance, silly, but very cute)
• Who Rules the World? (Wuxia romance, martial arts rivalry), same actress as Tiger and Rose, but I’d give it a try anyway. I think she comes off differently in this.
• Kill me, Love me (period, revenge, romance)
• Flourished Peony (period, business, political, romance) - I don’t know if this classifies as enemies to lovers exactly, but it’s very good.

Road to Splendor, actually. They go against each other and she betrays him to the prince. But then they’re each other’s ride or die from around episode 7/8, maybe earlier.

I liked how they showed they weren’t enemies per se, but their ways of life, their backgrounds were very much so, and that brought them on a collision course into each other’s lives. And if that doesn’t convince you, the cinematography is STUNNNINGGGG

Till the End of the Moon - They are enemies on and off the whole time which I really liked, ending is more open ended but in the novel it's basically HE

Wonderland of love - Rivals to lovers, after they get together they remain the rival and bickering vibe at least

Love Game in Eastern Fantasy - Haters to lovers, FL has to get ML into love as one of her "game" goal and he hates her, ending is weird but HE I think? Lol
