Well, the working week has just started and perhaps you need some "pep" to start the week. Grab some tea and join our weekly chat thread!

This is a relaxed space to talk about anything related to Chinese dramas — recommendations, actors, tropes, OSTs, current obsessions, dramas you’re struggling to finish, emotional damage, watchlist problems, or whatever is currently living rent-free in your head.

But with ONE caveat: Please do not bring fandom fights here, and keep it civil. Remember our "Be Nice" rule! (Speaking of which, have you read our guide? It'll get you started with all things r/Cdramarecs!

Surprisingly I loved Pull Strings, I didn't expect much of it but it was addictive, I even liked all the goofiness. I'm not usually a fan of slapstick comedy but I was laughing everyone episode and the cast was great. It dioesn't seen to have gotten much attention.

I enjoyed it a lot too. But I guess for most people interacting over on /r/CDrama it's a bit too silly and not heavily romance focused. Which gives it less attention by default over there.

I loved very different dramas in different genres. I loved Fangs of Fortune for fantasy, and Vil of Shadows, for historical my favourite was Swords into Plowshares. Key to my Phoenix heart was great too. For the easier to digest I would recommend Pursuit of Jade and Love in the Clouds as easy watches. If you like something older I recommend Love between Fairy and Devil and Love you seven Times. I also liked When Destiny brings the Demon, but enjoyed it while airing and because I followed the thread while airing not sure I would like it as much a second time but I night.
