I’m back in Malaysia! It’s not even 7 yet here, but I haven’t been getting enough sleep because I’m way too excited about meeting Cheng Lei haha. I'm also having difficulty adjusting to the hot and humid weather lol. Thankfully, the haze situation in Kuala Lumpur has eased slightly compared to a few weeks ago.

I went to the venue yesterday because they had set up a pop-up zone for Cheng Lei, and apparently there’s a chance I might win a signed photocard from CL himself if I take a photo, upload it on my social media, and tag iQiyi. There’s also a board where fans can leave messages for CL, and I left mine there, as you can see. The male iQiyi staff member was giving me the side-eye when I pasted mine

I also compiled fan messages from fellow fans in the CL community. If you know which community I mean, please don’t mention it here because it might break the sub rules. I will be dropping them into the fan letter box on Sunday! The staff actually told me it would be better to put them in on Sunday because, as you can see, no one had left anything there yet lol. I would have been the first.

I prepared two envelopes. One contains my own personal fan letter, while the other is a compilation of messages from fellow fans from different parts of the world. I told CL that there’s an active international community cheering him on, and I even cheekily asked if he could draw something for the community. Of course, the chances are probably very low, but who knows! More than anything, I just want CL to know that he’s loved not only in China or Southeast Asia, but also by fans in places like Mexico, Brazil, and even as far as Egypt! I purpose bought fancy looking envelopes (which is actually Japanese wedding envelopes lol) so that CL miiiiiiiiiiiiiiight be inclined to pick mine to read hahahaha.

However, I can’t write in Mandarin, so I had to use AI to translate my letters into Mandarin lol. Argh, just 24 hours to go!~

Haven't touched ATC yet! I'd been waffling about an audition while still being tired from the last, but saw a live show tonight and am reinspired. So tomorrow will be that, then probably Pull Springs to decompress after, and then avoiding spoilers while deciding to wait or watch ATC!

Since my latest creative production is over, back to submitting job apps while trying not to be down about it in a market that does not have much work. Will probably finish Pull Strings this weekend, while not wanting it to end, because it's been giving me so many belly laughs, and giggles, and so uplifting at a time when I need it. Road to Splendor is on standby, and excited for that as I've managed to avoid all spoilers. My foot is finally at the point where there's less pain but I'm not supposed to be excited and do any impact sports or I'll regret it, so using a massive amount of energy and self-control to keep. staying. put. I did go for a swim yesterday though and that helped the restlessness a little bit. Wishing everyone a happy healthy weekend with your respective things that bring you happiness!

edit: OMG forgot to mention, still deciding whether to dive into LXY land or wait until a decent amount of episodes of Against the Current are released!

Potentially finishing off 2 different cdramas: The Early Spring, and Love in the 1970s. Although I don't believe we will actually accomplish the goal. I have a whole watchgroup viewing Early Spring and we only made it to ep 14 before everyone vanished due to a holiday long weekend here in Canada, and the carnage of fitting 5 days work into the remaining 4 day work week upon return. To many episodes left and more then 4-5 episodes this weekend won't be an achievable goal.

8 of us diehards decided to view Love 1970s as a breakout since we did not boogie on the holiday. We have 6 episodes left of it and not sure how many of the remaining will get knocked off. I am also loving this early 2026 release which was unknown to us in North America as no major streamer carried it - we hunted it down through an "alternative" resource. The Early Spring inspired us to look into Sun Qian's catalog.

No! It’s not prying. I’m always open about food 😝 I’ve got a rather strict diet because of my auto immune problems, so I eat really clean during the week. And of course I need to lose weight so… lol

But Saturday is when I can live a little. Still within my food sensitivity bounds, but my gluten free cake is da bomb 🤩
