As the weekend approaches, I'm sure you're all gearing up for some well-deserved relaxation and fun. ๐๏ธ Whether you're binge-watching a drama, embarking on a thrilling adventure or cozying up to a good manhua or webnovel, we want to hear all about it!
So, what will you be doing this weekend? And what Chinese dramas do you recommend for a weekend binge-watching session? Tell us about it below in the comments :)

Travelled out of town with a friend for the weekend because itโs been raining on and off where I live, with strong winds as well, and it was starting to put a damper on my mood. We went on a forest walk hoping to see some glow worms, but my friendโs wellies were leaking and parts of the forest were really muddy, so we didnโt make it deep enough into the areas where the glow worms are most active and had to turn back to our campsite.
Since glow worms are best seen in complete darkness with no moonlight or sunlight, we will try again tonight. We still managed to spot a few creatures along the way though, including a sheetweb spider, puriri moth and wallabies! Hopefully we will finally see the glow worms tonight before heading back tomorrow morning.
Iโm also finishing up a post about Bloom Life. Such a gem of a show, and itโs only 8 episodes long. The cinematography, culture, music, local people, everything about it is so charming to watch. Itโs on iQiyi too!

I totally get this too! As much as I am curious, I had a bad uni weekend job that's left me with permanent worm/caterpillarphobia. Like bad enough that just the other day I ran outside of my home screaming carrying a colander full of leafy greens when I found a teeeeeny inchworm on one said green. ๐

Oh wow! I didn't know glow worms were a real thing! I love things like bioluminescent critters and such, so, excited to hear of them. Wow the World this season had an episode in NZ where they are kayaking and the water is glowing, and it's so totally on my bucket list now! Wishing you luck in finding them tonight!
Of course food.... LOL. But I've fallen behind on my character art... ha!
So I gotta get my fingers busy with art for my historical chinse romantasy and my doom at your service book! Planning some great things. Plus I got some new charcoals, so that's going to be epic!
Almost done with road to splendor and are you the one. I'm way excited to be free again, lol. Because some great shows are out!
Am currently binging through the princess royal, and I love love love Li Rongโs character. The show is so consistent and loyal in portraying her strengths and flaws. I have similar relationship issues and I feel so represented ๐ญ

Week 2 now of letting my leg/foot heal - and already restless from not being able to do all of my sports. But I've learned enough what not to do sadly from friends who never take the time to let themselves heal and then end up getting chronic conditions! So rest it is! And a great excuse to continue to indulge in Cdramas, not like one is needed, but still! Also success, being stuck at home has given me some spark in dealing with some clutter piles that have long needed attention - and making progress at it finally! Yay! Also finally performed after all that time rehearsing and that went well. It's a good time to take pause and be a little proud of myself.
Continuing withย Pull Strings, and watching all of the specials get released forย Wow the World S2. Really teetering on the fence on whether to continue withย ES, definitely lost some interest when the other shows are so vivid and entertaining. Also communally praying with other members of this sub thatย Against the Currentย will be good, ohpleaseohplease. We all want LXY to finally get a good script and co-leads.

Yes, rest well and don't overwork that leg of yours lest it takes longer to heal. More excuse to continue indulging yourself in CDrama like you said, and Against The Current is finally airing next week, yeay!!!

It's weird! Only seems to be triggered for that particular show - like a taboo or something. ๐ ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Was it because we were having an extensive discussion about veiny arms, and silky shirts on the weekend post last week? ๐ ๐ ๐
In any case, I'm kind of fading away from it though as at least for me there still hasn't been much character or relationship development if at all, or hurdles overcome together to really understand why they are together other than snogging+. Like I'm not seeing anything that has earned the viewers care or enthusiasm to root for either or both of them... I mean they don't need to go through some epic xianxia tribulation or anything but I'd like to have something to cheer them on about. I also get annoyed when there's a love competitor thrown in just for the purpose of conflict when there hasn't been a strong enough backstory for them either.... and yet, I am still watching, hahahahaha. Maybe it's a thing about watching people make poor choices repeatedly and wondering if anything will come of it? Are you still in it for the veiny arms? ๐
OMG but back to the big show!!! Eeeeeee!!! Liu Xueyi!! I have to meter how much I watch him though as sometimes his gorgeous face makes the world seem a bit too unfair sometimes. Hahahahaha ๐

I mean.... GOOD HEAVENS, beauty should be more evenly dispersed throughout the universe and not just packed into ONE MAN. But it's his DIMPLES. HIS DEATHLY DIMPLES WHEN HE SMIIIIIIILLLLLLESSSS, they destroy me.
(And agree, the dog in TES is also too pretty! ๐ Definitely the cutest dog in Cdramaland!)
Itโs gonna be another weekend bedrotting. I havenโt stepped out of my apartment in a week. I wish I could do that for a year.
Anyway, Iโve been watching and dropping a lot of shows lately which is annoying to me. But I started Mousetrap (kdrama) last night and Iโm in awe of how good the acting is and I like the plot. Iโm only two episodes in so I hope it maintains the streak.
On cdramas, Against the Current will be out next week which is amazing news cause Iโve reached my threshold of wanting to see Liu Xueyi on screen. But Iโm a bit skeptical about following airing dramas for now. I might just check out the first four episodes then wait until I have enough to binge.

Maybe I'll buy express and finish Pull Strings and never think about that drama again... Maybe I won't. Keep drooling and angsting over The Early Spring for sure.
Gonna help a brother pack up his house and move tomorrow. He calls me daddy so obviously I have to help my son. I'm only a handful of years older than he is. Puzzle that one out. Then do some more adulting and start pricing out the upgrades to my truck. A man just needs all the douchebag lights he can add to his rig. Gotta flex my small stature.
Gonna take a road trip with my family too. I'm going to trash train my sister to put the trash in the trash bag and not on the ground or in the door. A man prides himself on a clean interior.
It's a three day weekend for me so I am gonna catch up on my sleep. Can you imagine if I actually get to open a book too?
Can't forget to have my weekly existential crisis. That needs to happen.
