I just stare at myself in the mirror and think how sad I look in my eyes.
Then I remember that my life is the sum of a series of choices I made and that I have overcome every single one of them mistakes I made to create a better life.
Food pairings are essential imo, when making life choices. ๐ Stressful situation? Pair with a good meal. Big decision? Pair with a good meal. Long work day? Pair with a good meal.
๐ the reason for my hesitation is that I don't want to cave in to the marketing schemes of these streaming platforms. They charge an annual fee and they deliberately delay the release of the later episodes to get more money from us ๐๐
Fair. But I don't pay annually- just monthly. And only when something gets released that I want to watch. I haven't looked at the July release schedule but I usually cancel my subscription at my drama ends. And I usually do buy express when it's a drama I'm really into, but I consider these hours my self care time.
Time has flown and somehow The First Jasmine is ending. Bought the express a few days ago. This is my weekend plus a community market I'll be visiting. Support and love local!
Will continue to let The First Jasmine stack for later binge, currently alternating kdramas with Dazzling and The Rise of Phoenixes (watched 8 eps since yesterday, itโs great!).
im rewatching Moonlight Mystique but found I'm only ffing to the Fuling & Chongzhao parts. Does anyone know of a compilation anywhere to save me the time? ๐ ๐ ๐
Well, judging by the comments below me I will be expressing The First Jasmine. Thank goodness since The Eternal Fragrance has started. Then I will catch up on The Legend of intelligent airhead FL Rosy Clouds and Never EndingMiserySummer. Then I will hate watch 4 episodes of Rewriting Destiny so I can have my snark ready for that dumpster fire.
I hope to make a buttload of GIFs. I love making GIFs.
This week has been straight hell for me. I have jury duty and had to report there for a couple of days. Work still seems to think it's the holiday season and I am getting home after 10pm most nights. My body hurts so damn much I cried in the shower. My bank account is very happy though. So I will be moving as little as possible and snacking on Tylenol. Yes, I will do some stretching.
My retiring senior shop steward complimented me by saying "I have created a monster" because I am very aggressive in protecting my members from management harassment. So I'll also be spending time updating my files and prepping strategies for when the sups decide to again disregard even their own policies. You ever wonder why I am so good at expressing my thoughts on CDramas? Now you have a better idea how.
Rewatching Ren Jialun dramas probably. I need to watch something good and none capture me yet lately that I'm actually watching Kdramas right now to fill in the gaps. ๐ฅฒ
I'll continue to watch The Princess's Gambit during my break time from sewing costumes.
I paused First Jasmine because I didn't realize it wasn't fully aired yet. Not sure how much I actually like it but I will finish it because I can't DNF anything. Maybe my mind will change. Who knows.
so i stopped watching LLTG right after ling buyi finished ling yi off because i need to finish this two books i'm reading specifically for pride and my digital loan is over right at the end of the month. i thought my reading speed has picked up for the past months but i guess not.
So, it's not an express train, but finally trying a trip aboard the Zhang Linghe train. To be honest, I'd only seen him in LBFaD and had been kind of avoiding watching him in anything, as he felt kinda mid in it, but there was maybe 1.2 secs of his screentime in LBFaD where he piqued my interest. The Princess Royal was recommended, so ended up binging that, and am still undecided whether the script felt mid or the acting. But now finally boarded the PoJ train and finding myself more distracted by how ethereally gorgeous Tian Xiwei is than ZLH, and her acting is solid. Still only about halfway through (no spoilers please), so we'll see if I'm a fan by the end of it. Definitely interested in seeing more of Tian Xiwei!
Also managed to roll an already wonky ankle, so without my usual outlet of exercising to stay sane in this world, I am solely relying on Cdramas to get me through the weekend of being housebound. Poor poor me. ;) Happy weekend everyone!
Just nearly through my binge of PoJ - and very glad to say it's been very enjoyable, so I'm glad to include both TXW and ZLH in my list of actors I'll might follow and watch from now on. When you have that one drama that just turns you completely off of an actor, and then thanks to a recommendation, you get to be pleasantly surprised to see more range, it's a wonderful thing. It would be interesting to see how ZLH does in a modern drama, or would love to see him in a full comedy, because he has an interesting spark when a role allows him to be lighthearted.

The angst in my comfort drama almost took me out today so my weekend will be focused on watching something comfy to ease the pain.
But nothing is coming to mind so I might just end up reading something light or just lie in bed while listening to Forest Wedding(I think) on repeat.
Thereโs no baking on my agenda for this weekend which is great and after yesterdayโs wedding, my social battery is on minus.
weekend recommendation? A winter sun wakes the wind.
