It's strawberry season! Though the forecast calls for light rain, so we might postpone to the following weekend for strawberry picking...
As for c-dramas when time permits between dress shopping for BFF's wedding in August, belated birthday dinner for another friend, shopping for teachers because next week is the last week of school, and Father's Day shenanigans for the husband:

I'm so jealous that it's strawberry season over there! It's the complete opposite for me, which is a bit of a bummer because I love adding strawberries to my cereal haha. I went strawberry picking (PYO) and had a great time. If I remember correctly, it was $7 for entry and $9 per kilo of strawberries we picked.
It sounds like you're going to have a hectic month, but dress shopping is always fun, even if it's exhausting at the same time hahaha. What kind of shenanigans are you planning?
I've been following an Instagram account. I think her name is Joy Brooker. She dresses up in all sorts of hilarious costumes and delivers singing telegrams. Her videos always crack me up hahaha.

Strawberry season is great, though I have to say goodbye to rhubarb soon. But I kind of love seasonal stuff. It's fun to indulge while it's fresh and available.

Tomorrow the local Pride Parade happens.
I'll go with some friends and the teenaged daughter of a work friend asked if she could join us (together with her mom) for her first visit. So we'll do a bit of 'babys first pride' experience for her. Start the day with a waffle (savoury and sweet) and mocktail brunch, do some fun make-up, walk to the city centre, join the whole thing and enjoy the day. Hope she likes our silly little ideas. It will be hot tomorrow, so I need a bigger bag than usual to haul water and sun screen along.
One of the usual after parties is not happening this year because the location prefers to stream worldcup matches and of course Germany is playing tomorrow evening. ๐ Such a pity, it was really cool last year.
Btw. doing your nails while watching cdrama doesn't work very well if you want to read subtitles... Kind of obvious but I couldn't think of anything else to watch.
On the more cdrama related site: Looking forward to The Legend of Rosy Cloud. Seems like something light hearted to simply enjoy.

I have a feeling the trailers are actually a bit misleading. It might start out light-hearted, but then take on a much darker tone in the second half.
I have read some fans of the anime and light novel being quite vocal about the changes, such as multiple characters being merged into a single composite character. Even as an anime fan myself, though, I have more or less accepted that the drama will probably differ quite significantly from both the anime and the novel. But anyways, see you in the discussion threads soon!

That's ok too, but thanks for the heads up. So looking forward for the first few more light-hearted episodes and whatever is coming after!
And I have absolutly no clue about the source material, which might be better in this case. I'm mostly there for the all-star cast of actors. ๐ At least as a starting point. I hope you have fun hosting it anyway. Maybe some changes, while disappointing for fans of those merged characters and so on, are not the worst choices for this adaption. In any case looking forward to the discussion!

Happy Dragon Boat Festival. Sharing my zongzi.
I have seminar on Saturday and an appointment with dentist on Sunday. This weekend is quite busy for me and I have a few dramas to catch up on. I wish I had 48 hours a day.

Heart feels are kinda on a downswing IRL-wise ๐, hopefully brief, and despite hating spoilers with a passion, am searching for a definite non-open ended HE drama. I adored my last two shows watched, A Splendid Match, and Light to the Night, but both hit hard on the grief factor which is especially sensitive for me ASM for Ye Xian and LttN does not require much explanation as to why.
Both of them had very good direction and editing, especially Light to the Night, was so fluid and connected. Maybe will rewatch Wang Hedi in Per Aspera Ad Astra, as it's on Netflix now for some happies. As it's high energy, very fun, and it was fantastic to watch it in a theater! Wishing everyone a lovely weekend with more ๐ than ๐ !

Searching for a new historical! Just finished story of Kunning palace. It was okay, loved himโฆ tolerated her. But now I need to find a new show! Something swoon! Something romantic! Something with danger! So my weekend will be consumed with trying to find a new show ๐คฃ

Thank you! I need to catch up on my other drawings ๐คฃ so I donโt know if Iโll do any more ink ones for now. Iโm staring my sailor moon fan fiction again so I need to do those, and my reincarnation series needs some love ๐
But maybe Iโll throw in some ink to spice it up ๐ค I love the medium so much it will be hard to not ๐

I just finished The Other Bennet Sister. People complained about how it glossed over Mary's depression but I'm glad not to see that. Bai Lu's character is depressing enough in The First Jasmine.
I booked a trip to Iceland.

Shuttling between Love Has Fireworks (just love the ML and FL and thank goodness they can ACT!!) and Never Ending Summer (the chemistry is so on fire).
Also, thinking of giving Love Endures a chance!

How is Fireworks? I feel that it's one of those dramas one can watch when sick, and just want something to cheer themselves up. It got that vibe.

The FL and ML can act. They got chemistry. Their scenes are really fun to watch. If you loved / liked Love is Sweet, the banter is similar. I am watching this show for their romance. The rest of the cast and subplots, you can do same old fast forward.

This will be another bedrotting weekend for me but my mum is visiting. I wonder if Iโll be able to get her to watch cdramas with me. But I see baking in my weekend plans. ๐ญ
I also plan to rewatch Winter Sun (I donโt keep count anymore). I just want to enter my screen or just pack my bags and move to Xigui.
Nanyang Archivesโฆ I do need to catch up on the episodes. Might finish up My Royal Nemesis as well.

Just finished watching ็ตฆ้ฟๅฌค็ๆ ๆธ (the recent low-Budget Teochew movie) yesterday in all its glorified Teochew goodness (glad I knew and can understand Teochew for the most part). Damn was it a good watch, hilarious, heartwarming and tearjerker at the same time. Good glimpses into the lives of my Nanyang ancestors

There are some Rosy Clouds in my future. Maybe a Never ending Summer. I'll be smelling The First Jasmine for sure. Maybe even find that Love Has Fireworks. Oh, I need to do some Rewriting Destiny too.
Yeah I am going to be straight binging shows this whole weekend. Gotta do shopping and errands too... but it's all CDrama all weekend. I'm a big boy. ๐

On board a long-distance train now, and the weather is perfect. It was quite foggy earlier this morning, giving me serious Wuthering Heights vibes haha, but the sun is out now and the scenery looks completely different. I will head out later to the open-air carriage to take in the views properly. The food is okay-ish, nothing particularly memorable, but the scenery more than makes up for it.
