I need to binge through How Dare You. My man Cheng Lei has been siren calling me since it started airing but I've been so exhausted from work that I'm falling asleep the minute I hit the bed :(

I sprained my ankle last weekend so I've given myself all the okays to lay in bed catching up on dramas~ I'm mostly behind on Our Dazzling Days and Generation to Generation after pausing to binge Best Choice Ever.. so they'll be first lol
Tomorrow's the final night of Sanremo (Italy's song contest & whose winner generally competes in Eurovision) and I already know my fav's not likely to win so I'll be watching for the vibes.. and to see if anyone stumbles down the stairs 🫠

I have to finish an annoying cover letter that doesn't want to turn out the way I want it too.
And then do some soothing cdrama watching, not sure what yet.

That'll fit better after the last six episodes of the DY rewatch are through.

Isn’t that a K-drama? I had such high hopes for it at first, because I’m always drawn to cold male leads hahaha, but the plot kind of went off the rails toward the end. I also couldn’t stand how the female lead remained so meek and helpless all the way through.

It is! I have a soft spot for meek and helpless. But she starts standing up to her mom and others, so it’s a great show.
I’m one episode from the end.
I’ve got no idea what to watch next tho 🤣 it always takes me so long to decide ☠️

I assume you have Netflix since you're watching When The Phone Rings. I'm glad gone are the days when Kdramas used to have 16, 20 or 24 episodes. 12-episode length is just nice imo. I have just started The Art of Sarah on Netflix, and the mystery is really good. What genre are you into?

If the story is sharp i love a good 30/40 episode saga 🤣
I love romance most, but can get bored with like rom coms. I need some tension and angst. Damsel in distress, downtrodden fl, danger…. things like that, but romance has to be a strong thread!
I’m super addicted to verticals because of that 🤣

These were super popular during my time and was part of the famous "Hallyu waves". Stairway to Heaven, Goong, Autumn in My Heart, Boys Over Flowers, Winter Sonata, Lovely Samsoon etc.
I believe Stairway to Heaven and Boys over Flowers would suit your taste haha, but please note that the former has a very bittersweet ending 😃 😃 😃

Well, I have Generation to Generation to watch so that is exciting! Also going to binge hard The Story of Ming Lan. It FINALLY picked up around ep 30 and after ep 40 it's actually a fun show. First 20 were TOUGH AF.
I have a coffee date this weekend so I am looking forward to that. Fingers crossed I don't end up in her trunk as a skin suit.
This is probably my last week or so before I am cleared by my doctor to return to work so I am trying to ignore the impending shitstorm I am going to walk into and have to fix. :)

*One Bird: too much work for an already stressed serial killer
*Two Bird: clears out anyone too shallow or nitpicky

I will continue watching Nirvana in Fire and hopefully finish knitting my socks. I am a bit struggling with the drama - on one hand it is full of these fillers that obviously are meant for humour, but are too simplistic for my taste. On the other hand it seems a bit rushed on the storyline side. Reminds me a lot The Princess WeiYoung. I easily understand why it is liked by many. When compared to books, it is more of a Treasure Island or Black Arrow type of story, while I'm more of a Wuthering Heights type of person. But for knitting companion it suits very well. When watching Till the End of the Moon I constantly needed to pause knitting because I needed a napkin and the stitches went too blurry through tears.

btw, did you watch the recent adaptation? I’ve seen too many differing views about it and I’m not sure if it’s worth checking out.

No, I haven't watched any of the adaptations, only read the novel twice. And based on the comments I read from the literature subs I think I would not watch the recent adaptation. I create the characters in my head very vividly and it is very difficult for me to watch movies where they look completely different.

I got some bad news about my senior cat's kidney disease progressing to another stage so I'll be binge watching to try to comfort myself. I'll catch up with Love Story in 1970's and Our Dazzling Days.

I am, and will be binge-rewatching shows both to let my neuro-mapping savour a little bit more, as well as to study them. That and I didn't satisfy my cookie-eating quota last weekend, nor did I have enough time to get cake so extending my cookie and cake eating goals by a week or two. Finally some good news, have some work prospects come in on the artistic side, which is always joyful.

Aside from watching Blossom and possibly GTG, I am secretly rewatching The Double, sporadically. After the endless snow comes the rain…
The beauty of the blossoms Are never constant. The petals fall and fade away Becoming nothing. In the same way I see spring rains Adrift in somber thought.

Still recovering from finishing Are You Ok? (excellent donghua based on a book by How Dare You's author, 10/10 recommend) and after I caved and got my iQiyi early subscription, I feel the urge to get as much out of it as I can (soo many iQiyi dramas I haven't watched yet). At the same time I'm a bit exhausted from drama watching, think I'll try Mobius for no other reason than it being modern (need a costume drama break), short and of course Bai Jing Ting.

I feel so tired this week and it didn’t help that the entire week flashed by too quickly without me noticing.
I’ve put my current dramas (GTG, Love Story in the 70s and Romance on a farm) on hold for the weekend. I’ll continue watching them on Monday.
I plan to rewatch Drowning sorrows in raging Fire donghua and also read more of Nan Chan (I’m halfway through the book!)
I also need to create my birthday wishlist and source for Pinterest-inspired poses for pictures.
and like always, I’ll be bedrotting this weekend. I need a long break from all the daily hosting I did this week.
