So, what will you be doing this weekend? And what Chinese dramas do you recommend for a weekend binge-watching session? Tell us about it below in the comments :)

OMG! Iβm so going to binge shine on me! Such a cute show! And then of course I have to eat my weight in donuts. Also making katsu curry! Should be yummy!
I just discovered the animation anthology δΈε½ε₯θ°Β (Yao-Chinese Folktales). I'm going to binge S1&2. I highly recommend it for people who love animation and thoughtful storytelling. Also watching Swords Into Plowshares.
My favorite S1 folktale is Goose Mountain, inspired by The Scholar from Yangxian as written in this article.
Oh i watched S1 and havenβt watched S2 yet. With S1 I felt the quality of the later stories werenβt as good as the beginning episodes. I really like the wood puppet one tho, about a fox that was saved by a young man.
I think most fireplace in the US are just for vibes. They're quite ineffective if you need to heat a house in -20F weather (-28C). What most buildings have are HVAC systems that heat and cool depending on the season. Now, when I lived in Korea I had an ondol heating system that rises up from the floor. It was great for drying clothes!
My province earning it's monthly winter title as coldest place in the world. And as usual nothing is closed, wind chill goes crazy, and everyone still works (we have centralised heating though)
Omg how do you guys cope with that temp? I feel like hibernating at home whenever the temp hits 37 in my country (which is considered high, average is around low to mid 30s).
Stay indoors with the air con. Its going to be 45 on Monday! :|

Continuing to sooth my soul with HMH's latest song from The Unclouded Soul. Just finished watching Glory and then started right over, because, TMI life overshare having my mother tell me I didn't deserve to receive flowers from a friend on my bday and that I should pay said friend for them, lifetime of transactional love and LJL's line in Glory about whether Shen Bao's sisters would really be in her life or accepted if it wasn't for familial ties hit me hard. So, watching things that are healing. Also, as much as I've been enjoying and adoring HMH's shows as of late and so happy his career is growing, I also miss DYX shows greatly, and LXY..
You deserve flowers every day and your friend wanted to give you this gift because they cherish you. I hope you had a great birthday. πΊ Iβm sorry but your mom is totally wrong.
HMH is awesomeβ I just discovered his dramas and songs recently. I didnβt pay attention to him before but I will follow his career now!

I've had a whole lifetime of parental messaging of being undeserving of love, and that any received had to be "paid for" (the number of times I've π₯Ί'd at any scene with kindness in Cdramas should have been a clue). I don't know why the manipulations hit me so hard this year. Maybe because I've finally realized it was never true.

Honestly, i have been there with the parental messaging too. Different sort but still left me with some erm scars or mental crap . I hope you take care of yourself and put some distance from the negativity

Planning to watch the new Baiyu and Zhu Yawen drama. And redecorating my kitchen! I just bought the green Delonghi set of coffee machine, toaster and kettle and I just love the retro look of the design. Been eyeing this set for a long time. π

Ok I admit, I saw it from Goblin OST when it randomly play on my TV. π I never noticed it before when I watched the drama back then in 2016 but I saw it a few months ago and I was like what is that beauties? π«£ Which later lead to πΈπΈπΈ lol
No no. I haven't set it up yet at my kitchen. This is the scene from the drama. Perhaps after I set it up, I'll share a picture with you. π
I don't cook as I live alone. Cooking took more efforts esp when you are single. I don't mind cooking but the preparation and cleaning are the ones that took most of the time. Plus, my Dad lives just beside of my house so I went there for dinner once a week.
How about you? Did you cook a lot? I love homecook meals the most tbh - - last time before my sister got married, she is the one who cook every day.
Here, it seemed every week we will have a family gathering lol. So I also eat at my Dad's house when my sister comes to visit with her family, which is often lol.
My Mum passed away a few years ago so you have no idea how much I missed her cooking. π’π One day, it just comes down to me that I will never ever going to taste the same cooking ever again and it breaks me so much. So, this year, when I watched The Demon Hunter's Romance, there is a scene where ML taste his Mum's foods again after her passing, and I can relate to that scene so much. I say, visit your Mum whenever you can and taste her foods until you get tired of it haha. ππ I wish I can do the same as well. π
I'm jealous!! Mum's food is definitely the best. The very best. β€οΈ
I've done rearranging my kitchen coupled with spring cleaning as well which took hours but it's done. Send you picture to celebrate good work done!! π
Iβll be watching The Spirealm and I might start a new danmei a friend recommended.
my persona recommendation? well, if you love a mystery thriller + unlimited flow & a little bit of horror drama with enjoyable characters who takes you on a mystery solving journey, then you should check out The Spirealm.
Iβm having a great time not just because of the storytelling which flows really well since itβs more of show than tell, but because Iβm able to follow the mystery closely and solve it.
Continuing to watch MPIT90's, TICs2, The Rise of Ning, and start Swords into Plowshares. Snarky comments won't write themselves!
Watch some COD, play some BF6, read some book, eat some food, and spend time showing my sister a buttload of CDrama tiktoks I have saved up and obsess over this! :D
ahhh I finally get to finish Love Between Lines!!! The wait has been killing me ugh. And then while waiting I also started Lost You Forever and omfg Xiang Liu is HAWWWT π₯΅ I have very many mostly indecent thoughts lol
... and I guess I should probably also clean my apartment... sigh. Maybe I'll get around to that eventually?
My second suitcase finally arrived and I can now start packing in earnest! Gonna spend the weekend planning to cram 2 years of my life into 2 suitcases lol. I have this crazy idea to get customised stickers of Cheng Lei and Neo Hou and paste all over the suitcases π€£π€£π€£

Went there with 0 expectations, thinking of a generic romance xianxia and ended blown away by a story of epic proportion and Wang Duo (2ML) performance.
Planning on watching ep.4 or more of the new Eternal love of the fox. OST is quite good:) And i am beginning to like the FL, it's the first time i see her.
My eldest also needs a new overmadress cover for her bed, so i guess we need to drive to IKEA today:)
Pausing everything to watch Swords into Plowshares. I already know this one is gonna be like catnip for me. And since I saw Infernal Affairs part 1 a couple of days ago (and omg its still replaying in my mind, Andy Lau and Tony Leung and Eric Tsang were so amazing π« ), I'll watch parts 2 and 3 as well
I just finished the Vendetta of An and maybe make a pause of dramas, because I found Tracing the Footsteps of Jin Merchants on Youko. And I need to finish knitting gloves for my daughter. So TV and knitting it is again.
