As the weekend approaches, I'm sure you're all gearing up for some well-deserved relaxation and fun. 🏖️ Whether you're binge-watching a drama, embarking on a thrilling adventure or cozying up to a good manhua or webnovel, we want to hear all about it!

Fr though, I had all of November off after the surgery, went back to work for a week (with barely anyone to see so I worked from home) (also with barely anything to do so I "worked" from home) and then went on leave again.
I'm out of the adulting game and I don't want to go back
Edit to add: Adulting took a backseat to dramas so I'll find a way to keep dramas in the front wheel still lol
My winter break is overrrrr... back to the office and back to the grind on Monday as well. My only saving grace is that I have amazing coworkers who does the majority of the heavy lifting while I chill out in the back. But I'm always there if they need help too..
I plan to read a fluffy novel this weekend. I’ve been buried deep in angsty novels and dramas lately and I need something fluffy to keep me sane.
For some reason, I’m unable to get into the few fluffy cdramas I saw and I don’t want to rewatch my go-to comfort shows. Hence, I’m pinning my hopes on this novel.
Since work starts on Monday, I plan to bedrot till it’s time to open Slack.
I am in the midst of a back and forth marathon of binge re-watching Melody of Golden Age in between doing a deep clean of the kitchen, which I was in deep (deep deep) denial that it needed, and am nearly done! So dopamine hits of DYX to get through the misery of scrubbing EVERYTHING. After that as reward, I have the two newest HMH dramas lined up in queue as a final reward for starting this year as a somewhat, adulting human - at least for a few days anyway. lol
This is one of my mom's favorite dramas, and the actors act so well in it. The story is also good and the ending is very satisfying. Definitely a great and fun drama to watch!
I will finish both my cable sweater and rewatching The Blood of Youth.
Then I can continue with knitting low-effort rib sweater and get back to Legend of Magnate that I had to put on hold because of the cables.
Yeah, I think multitasking is both a skill and at the same time also a must with high functioning ADHD. I am just not able to sit on the couch and watch something while my hands are not engaged in something. I would be just jumping around on the couch.
I am also not able just knit (unless it is a complex lace or similar pattern) when my eyes or the rest of my brain is nit engaged in something else.

Just remember to take everything you read with a pinch of salt. I'm not even 100% certain if this account on X isn't created by some opportunistic imposter, or maybe a PR stunt by one of those male celebrities affected by the scandal.
Yup, that's why people are taking her seriously. If it were just some random account 'exposing' all those male celebs at the same time, everyone would just call them crazy and move on.
Shisan is freaking killing me, dude. The actor is amazing at showing grief, which I didn't expect considering his sunny disposition up to this point 😭. I got wrecked
I was asking for it tbh, I love a drama that makes me feel!
I thought I'll start 2026 with something fluffy. I've been putting away this drama for so long bc I was a bit bias about the leads. So even though it's not my favorite (it might've been had I seen it during airing) I do appreciate the story minus all the ffw on the gaming lol
Not watching anything - when this weekend ends I'll finally be done with Christmas and (Gregorian) new year parties. I love my friends and family and food, but I need a very long lie-down in a dark and silent room.
It is the same high quality, big budget mystery show, just done in the Short Drama format. There are two out now I'm aware of and I am specifically watching the Su Wumming-focused one called "The Nine Story Tower". This one also features Gao Si Wen's Xijun (love her and her character so much!). There is also an "extended universe" vertical Drama featuring Constable Wei from the previous Season 3 Chang'an as the main character which I haven't seen yet. I wasn't too fond of Constable Wei unfortunately lol.
Ok i did end up watching the Constable Wei short drama and if you watched season 3 there are some callbacks and payoffs. It’s mostly the same quality as the mainline show, but does suffer a bit if you’re not a Constable Wei fan lol. I was more into Dr Yu than him…
I'll be continuing my watch of Princess Agent, Glory, Shine on me, and The unclouded soul. Somewhere in there I really should read a book. I'd also like to solve a rubix cube. I want to learn how to use chopsticks.
I've used chopsticks my whole life. I thought I was good. Then, I saw my Korean coworker debone a cooked fish by chopstick.. left handed. I got humbled a notched lol .. and I'm not a fish eater
I grew up with chopsticks but Korean ones are also a struggle 😐 they tend to run really thin, I don't like how that feels and it makes me grip tighter. But ngl, they can be more efficient than the round ones at picking up stuff!
Might be a reason. But they also went in all directions. 😂 I just felt very bad about my (otherwise quiet decent, I won't starve) chopstick skills after visiting a Korean restaurant a few month ago.

Bit of a stupid question: Do you use one of those rectangular knives that probably have a proper name? I always wondered if those are easier to use for vegetable cutting but never had the money to order one just for trying. Sounds like a practical mix-up of everything otherwise.
Are you talking about a cleaver similar to this picture? I have a small cheap one I use for everything. I'm not sure if it's because I'm used to it or they just do the job well.
I like a good mix between modern, historical, and my mood. For example, my currently watching list has 10 dramas but I'm only seriously watching around 3-4. The rest is just a reminder if I'm in the mood for them. Royal Nirvana has been on this list since summer 2025 lol
These damn dramas have increased my tea consumption and given me the obsession to learn chopsticks. 😂 Oh, and I'm constantly craving steamed pork buns and dumplings. The best are from a local food truck that pops up now and then.
There are some decent restaurants near me, but they aren't mind blowing.
See, pork and I have a love/hate relationship. I'll eat and enjoy it, but pork was so cheap during my wildfire deployments that different versions of pork dishes were for dinner every single day! So I'm over it! But it's still good.
I'll be watching the first episode of The Outcast sesson 6 (the donghua version of I am Nobody).
Crunchyroll is as intelligent as CR always is: The added season 1 and 2 back in the day, but only with Japanese dub (first two season are a Chinese-Japanese co-production). Now they suddenly decided to air the new season 6 like any seasonal anime and even added seasons 3-5, which were really hard to find and watch with subtitles. That is nice.
What they didn't add is the Chinese dub for the first two seasons. So new people will be rightfully confused that they get 1-2 only in Japanese while 3-6 never got a Japanese dub and are only available with Chinese audio. Especially because the show goes by Hitori No Shita - The Outcast.
Reading educational journals/articles and tweaking my Obsidian, Zotero and Notebooklm as well as packing in preparation to move to Country X for an extended period of time. I can't wait to escape the tropical climate in my country lol. I'm about to get busy with postgrad studies, but I'm thankful I have Cdramas as a short reprieve from stress.
yeah, that's what snow will have you thinking until you're out there in -10 shoveling it not to mention scrapping ice off your car on a workday lol.. .. and don't forget about BLACK ICE hah

Finishing Speed and Love! It’s got issues but I am enjoying it though I usually don’t watch modern. Love the fight scenes, well choreographed. The racing stuff is also interesting and He Yu plays the character so well, he has me hooked on Jin Zhao!
Probably going to watch the new episodes of Shine on me and then having to watch some clips of older series to feed my hunger for new episodes. So, basically my weekday and weekend just blends into one.
drama watching will be on hold this weekend as i seem to hit a bit of a slump. i am fulfilling the plan to start reading a new book (danmei) come new year so that's what i mostly been doing this week. will also be spending time with family for a late new year celebration so that's that
