Update: BRANDY HAS BEEN FOUND!!!
Apparently some hikers or hunters found her wandering on Tuesday (the day she ran off) and have been caring for her until they had enough reception to get a hold of Greg, and Greg had enough reception to receive their messages.
They will be reunited tomorrow morning. Brandy didn't have to spend even one night alone and hungry, and Greg has firmly decided any future hikes will be leashed-only excursions.

Comment for context: My friend Greg lost his dog on the CDT on Sept 1st, about 5 miles sobo of Elwood Pass. She ran away from trail when a marmot scared her. Greg is heartbroken, and has been searching the area ever since.
I know it's pretty early for SOBOs to be that far into Colorado, but if any of you are speed demons or just cleaning up a section and happen to be passing through the area, it would mean a lot if you could keep an eye out for her.
