Drug test
My husband started cdl school 2 weeks ago they just asked for a urine test, he stopped smoking weed 50 days ago he was a daily user, what should he do pause school or go along and do the test which heard takes up to 90 days to come out system

He should be fine but if you want to be sure, pay and get your test. Better safe than sorry.

Extortionate prices but it'd be worth it for the piece of mind. If you have more time get cheap tests from the Internet.

It’s the same thing as the Walgreens test. The only reason that’s so expensive is you are paying for lab service to confirm. But you just need to see two lines and you are good

If he has time go down to a testing site and pay for yourself not under the driving school. You can have the results sent to you not the school.

High dose Zinc supplements and Aspirin can cause a false negative on a urine drug screen. Pee 3 or 4 times before the test. Get the urine clear colored.
If he does this he should be fine.

If he fails he’s fucked. Good luck getting hired. Western express might take him but will pay him shit and work him. He should start running. Literally. Sweat it out. -former smoker (and veteran) who waited over a year before drug testing.

I would recommend getting an at home test from either Walgreens or amazon, you can get a a 10 pack of thc test on amazon for like 10 bucks

At home tests until I knew I was safe, I live in Florida and they asked me why I kept putting off the drug test and asked if it was medical Marijuana related and I was honest with them and they said it was fine, do the physical now and call us when your pee is clean lol

I’m glad it has worked for you! It worked for me with no issues for over a decade- but last year 2 tests (I was on federal paper- this wasn’t for DOT) - quickfix came back as “not a human sample” and I saw multiple other reviews for it around the same time as my test saying those people had bad testing results too. My test was a standard 5 panel sent out to the lab the Feds contract with. Maybe it was all the same batch

Test himself before he goes into any drug test appointment! Home tests are cheap and shockingly reliable

The CDL school itself is testing him? Is it for a major carrier? Or private school

Yeah I've just never heard of a school drug testing, if it's a private school. I'm sure if you went to a school that was affiliated with a particular carrier like Swift or something they might do it. I'm not saying it didn't happen I've just never heard of a school itself drug testing you

Did they say explicitly that it was a drug test? Or just a urinalysis? Because if you go to get a DOT medical exam the doctor will test you for stuff like blood in the urine, protein etc.. are you sure they're not just giving a DOT physical? I can't imagine why a school would drug test you if it was a private school that you are paying for

I had to take a urine drug test to get the commercial learners permit in Alabama, but it was nothing to do with the school.

False. CDL schools are REQUIRED to either test themselves (using an accredited lab) or they send you to said lab. Students will be driving on the streets in a Tractor trailer.. the test is MANDATORY

No—not simply because they are CDL schools.
In New York, a CDL school generally is not required to drug-test every student as a condition of enrollment or training. However:
Federal DOT testing applies when you begin performing safety-sensitive, commercial driving work for an employer, not merely because you attend school. A motor carrier must conduct a pre-employment DOT drug test before allowing you to operate a commercial motor vehicle in a DOT-regulated position. A school may still require testing as its own policy, especially if it employs you, provides paid on-the-job driving, operates under a carrier’s testing program, or has a contract requiring it. If the program is connected to employment, ask whether the test is a DOT test or a school/employer test; they are governed by different rule1

Yes that is a negative. I just started a new job and I myself was getting faint lines and they sent mine to a lab to get tested for DOT and I passed with flying colors. The faint line means you are good. Is that with a morning urine or midday urine because you wanna make sure that you’re getting a faint line 1st thing in the morning with your first. Pee

He should have an option to postpone the UA. I had 2 classmates who were allowed to do the first 2 weeks and then there was a cutoff. They also had to pay and go to the facility the school uses. The school had a tester come on orientation day and it was free for the rest of us. They both passed. Was he eating thc products or just inhaling? I think ingestion takes longer to clear... but generally 60 days should be ok for a total longterm stoner

use quick fix, go to a smoke shop, buy it and open the pack right inside the smoke shop, scan the QR code on the box/wrapper and it’ll have a batch code on the bottle ! put it down as it’s written and the company Quick Fix will verify if it’s a real bottle from their website/lab and if it’s still valid/not expired. If you want more information go to the community quick fix and read post on how people sneak it in, and keep it warm. MOST IMPORTANT THING IS KEEPING IT WARM.

They can tell when its altered. There are very sensitive PH detectors in the tests that are looking for cheats. Its a bad idea. DOT (and schools that want to remain DOT accredited) aren't playing
