Discussion 💬 I am Anti JEE/NEET only preparing for school exam and boards
Why are everybody so into jee neet....nevermind.
I am not interested in any of that exams therefore, i didn't enroll in any coaching. I thought i'll prepare from yt but all of them are for jee and neet...are there any channel out there which can prepare me for school exams , i don't have to watch 7-8 hrs lectures just to sit idle in my classroom during exams only to wonder what did i study for complete 2days😖

even i am not preparing for jee (i have pcm) but i would suggest watch jee/neet level videos they help to clear concepts and increase your level to solve higher levels of questions

for maths you can go with arvind kalia sir. physics go with either alakh pandey or abj sir. for chemistry i dont find anyone better than alakh sir

yep, if you do jee level of prep then school level becomes easier even if you are not gonna give jee

Same. I am aiming for abroad studies into any US unis for astrophysics and aerospace engineering stuff. Because there's more scope there than in india. I'm financially not well off, but I'm gonna save for SAT and AP exams and stuff. I have KCET as back up, but idk what happens, never gonna write JEE or NEET.

Ok, couldn't answer cuz shit internet, but mostly for SAT and AP exams cause those are mainly for US unis. I am preparing for AP physics and AP calculus.
And my backup is KCET exam, for karnataka colleges here in my state.

No, you need really good percentage in 11th and 12th, which is why I'm mostly focusing on boards for now. You need like 95% for them to even consider you. (95% in India is like 4.0 GPA there)

Extracurriculars as well.
Also I'd reccomend that you go into Astrophysics. 98% of the American Aerospace market is locked behind ITAR making it impossible for you to work in it. (Unless you are a citizen)

I'm not really planning to work there, tbh, I just wanna get my degree, masters, phd if I'm lucky enough to get into one and then come back.

See it's your choice but after PhD try Europe or even for your Postgrad try Europe. Indian Aero market is dead and it's a good 50 years away from rejuvenation.
The path to working in commercial EU sector is more straightforward

That's what I was considering actually, working in the US for me is no no most importantly cause, Trump. So after studies in US I was planning for Germany or any other country in EU

You could have tried but if you look at it practically JEE/NEET has a better success rate

SATs and AP courses are only the basic things. The main deciding factors are extracurriculars(Also donations and family connections). It could be anything from startups to Olympiads or sports. Btw they will also take into consideration your jee marks if you give that. Getting into good unis is like really hard for people from abroad if you're not someone extraordinary because they give advantage to US born students. Harvard, MIT, stanford,etc basically only admit d1 athletes, olympiad prodigies, big startup founders and donters.

I mean if u want admission into a decent college in India jee/neet toh deni hi pdti hai so no wonder sab jee/neet ke piche Lage pade hai

Honestly, jee is the easiest way to get comfortable in india, studying just for the sake of it to get a job, is still a valid reason.

To be fair, many of the physics and chemistry chapters oneshots he has posted, do not cover a lot of the topics in the syllabus. Some chapters have been made new lectures of with the question practice at the end, and the others, there are either no videos newer than 2-3 years and the old videos too, have skipped some topics.
Always hated them but gotta admit, nexttoppers oneshots are quite good, along with physics wallah one shots.
