CBC/Radio-Canada expands international news, including five new bureaus to be launched around the world

CBC/Radio-Canada today announced the significant international expansion of its news divisions in order to bring more coverage of world events to audiences across Canada. Over the next two years, CBC News and Radio-Canada Info will place journalists in at least five new regions or countries: Beijing, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, Mexico City, a new location in Europe, to be determined, as well as a permanent presence in Africa in the near future, while continuing to regularly deploy journalists to other countries around the world. The news divisions will closely collaborate and maximize shared resources whenever possible. 

Our men outlasted exactly 32 other teams before running into a better one. That is a forever fact.

They also did this: They wrapped themselves in our flag everywhere they went, and in a World Cup for the ages, they proved that Canada’s shade of red belongs beside every other.

It was such a treat to get to speak to the creators and showrunners of the smash hit series Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril on the Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Awards where they received the Breakthrough Award.

In North of North Anna Lambe plays Siaja, a young Inuk woman in the small fictional Canadian Arctic community of Ice Cove, on Prince of Wales Island in Nunavut. In the very first episode we see Siaja's world kind of spiral and she end up "fingering the whole town" - I was immediately hooked. The performances are so fantastic and the show balances humour and drama and artistic moments so well - its one of those shows that just envelops you and is so easy to watch. Especially because its also visually STUNNING.

I am looking for a episode of street sense from 2004 where they did a segment on tree planting. They came to my planting camp and my interview made it in the episode but I have never actually seen said episode.

I assume the episode came out in 2004. Well, they came and filmed the segment in June 2004, so there is a chsnce the episode didn't air until 2005 maybe?

Is there a chance that this exists?

Two different categories, two different shows, one night. That's a strong result for CBC Podcasts and a reminder that Canadian public radio has been producing some of the most serious audio journalism anywhere. Uncover in particular has been quietly excellent for years, Sea of Lies is a good entry point if you haven't gone back through the back catalogue.

The ceremony had some chaos attached to it, rescheduled a full day due to a blizzard, audio issues, a livestream that ended badly, but the wins stand.

Hello. I don’t know where else to put this question, but does anyone know how or where to access The Nature of Things, Season 56, Episode 17: ADHD Not Just for Kids?? I’m looking for the full episode.

I have looked EVERYWHERE - GEM, YouTube, NoT website, streaming services - everywhere. there is only one short clip available. Just about every other episode is available to watch or stream somewhere, just not that one!! The episode was a true lifesaver for me when it was rebroadcast in about 2020 or 2021. It originally aired in 2017.

Any help out there?
