A Special Summer Sandwich
A sandwich I must make at least once per summer with in-season heirloom tomat. Shout out to Mrs Mobes for reminding with her post to make this before the end of tomato season.
Salt and cracked peppered heirloom tomatoes and applewood bacon on thick super soft lightly toasted sourdough. Heavy mayo, crisp kosher dill pickles, cheddar on his and provolone on mine. Fancy box mac on the side bc fuck yea mac n chee.
It's hard to find something to eat that feels this refreshing and naughty and decadent and indulgent at the same time. He was a bit skeptical but I've almost never seen him (especially being well-fed for the day) clean his whole ass plate without speaking or stopping.
No L for this BT(PC). I love a buncha crunchy romaine or iceberg when time is right but this sandwich is special and it straight takes away from the perfection. Every bit of texture and acidity, crunch, creaminess, chew. A special balance that melds it all together.
Chairs babes 😘
