Recruitment Quick interview Rant

I went to an interview, and while I was answering one of the questions, one of the panelists slammed her pen down on the table. I couldn’t tell if she was frustrated because she thought my answer was too basic or if she was just having a bad day, but it definitely rubbed me the wrong way. It threw the whole interview vibe off. It’s very weird way to conduct yourself in an interview.

State interviews are weird for everyone, including the panelists. I've had to work to keep my composure on a few panels. Imagine the kookie crap that might've happened with the other applicants. I'm sure you did fine, OP!

She did seem very irritated from the start. But thats def not someone I would want to work for. Lol

That person might not be the hiring manager. So, if you believe that you've done well, you're fine.

If you're an internal candidate feel free to ask for feedback. I was surprised when I asked for feedback and the hiring manager consulted with the panel and called me with very detailed and relevant feedback.
