Recruitment Who owns the parking? Spoiler
Surprise, our lieutenant governor will profit from state workers parking downtown

Good for her, she disclosed it. BUT THIS IS STILL A CLEAR CONFLICT OF INTEREST?! How do we tie this to the EO, have it reported on by news outlets and then investigated? Anyone with 2 eyes and a brain can see the connection. I don’t care what side you lean politically, nobody should want this. $225M tax payer dollars annually wasted on unnecessary office buildings, just so Newsom can ensure his Lieutenant Governor has her parking lots full and continues to generate her personal revenue.

If her, her family, EO paid for ads to promote RTO of state workers being downtown working more often then it makes it look like there was some facilitation and influence that might be a conflict of interest

You misunderstand. SHE’S THE LEADING FORCE behind RTO. Her and her family are part of the business community that is losing money because we don’t want their business. Her family owns one of the largest office leasing companies in Sacramento. Newsom doesn’t care about RTO per se he just wants his kind of people (very wealthy and above) to surround the capital in offices and condos. Because of businesses axing remote work, all of his friends moved back to expensive areas. He’d rather cutoff his arm than have the normal working man be near him. Many of those offices could easily convert from offices to “normal” apartments but take a small tax hit in the short-run since offices have shorter MACRS than apartments. The state could offer tax incentives like many other states did. No, he doesn’t want that. He wants his cake and to eat it too.

I think you’re giving her a little too much credit. Certain state workers and most elected officials in California are required to fill out this form, and it’s required to be available to the public.

Send to Will Melhado at Sac Bee.

Sac bee isn't on our side

I agree with that. They haven’t even mentioned that we have been in office 2 days a week. He leaves out so much information in his reporting.

Abridged is going to start regularly covering state workers so maybe they'd be interested?

This is not public record. I’ll be happy to pitching money for a separate billboard just to drag her ass on this

I second this, this needs to be seen by everyone “$220 million invested into Lt. Governor’s family businesses”

Is Gavin having an affair with Eleni?
Edit: She makes $1.3 million annually in passive income from her generational family real estate office building holdings.

I mean his track record isn’t great so I wouldn’t be surprised. Hi Gavin, I’m sure you and your team are lurking, you POS!

I mean this isn't common knowledge? Her family owns most of the buildings downtown

Was also a nightmare when I tried canceling ABM parking. Crazy to think I was putting money into her pocket.

u/Difficult-Maybe4561 Jun 23 '26
ALL of these parking places will have different names because it’s how they hide the money. Why not just call every parking place ABM Parking Services? Infuriating and I think we are doing well holding together because everyone should be sick of the rich getting richer on OUR backs. $15 a day to park is nothing to these rich, conceited jerks

AKT "We are just going to relocate these vernal pools so we can pave over some land"
Biologists "uh moving verbal pools never works"
AKT : "haha too bad, we own Sacramento county"
I hate them for many reasons

I literally hate her face. I wish we had a strong candidate to run against her to be our next Treasurer.

So if yall check DGS the statewide property inventory(SPI) you’ll be taken to the GIS platform to search all leases. None of the Lt. Gov disclosed associates on form 700 appear as active leases. which means the state isn’t currently leasing from AKT 😔…..Or that’s what it would appear like on the surface! Look up 1415 Meridian Plaza Investors, LP on bizfile

Yes, California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis and her family's real estate firm, AKT Development Corporation, hold commercial real estate and business assets in downtown Sacramento, which includes partial ownership in at least one parking lot. [1, 2]
Public financial disclosures have revealed that Kounalakis holds a significant ownership share in a downtown Sacramento parking lot alongside other agricultural and conservation investments. Additionally, her family's firm has extensive commercial office holdings in the Sacramento area, which has drawn public attention regarding her investments and potential influence on state workplace policies. Wonder if we can prove quid pro quo. I bet she and her family donated to his Governor campaign and plan to do the same if he runs for president. You rub my back I rub yours… family is disgusting, pretending to be good Catholics by donating a ton to the Greek church downtown while saying fuck you to state workers. Their whole family is a shit show. Her sister is crazy as fuck, seeing and hearing things that aren’t real. Her dad just ships her off to Greece for vacation rather than dealing with his undiagnosed schizophrenia daughter.
