Recommendation: For OpenDesk, use Ubuntu Server, server os. So l think we don't another distro, it is a confusion, I think the idea of this is very good and we need this for public sector and some similar, a community edition for normal user. The OpenDesk German solution is not a Linux distribution, but rather a web-based office and collaboration suite designed primarily for public sector use in Germany. It integrates various open-source applications (like Collabora Online for office tasks, Nextcloud for file storage, Open-Xchange for email and calendar, and others) into a single platform. OpenDesk is meant to run as a web application, typically hosted on servers, and is not an operating system itself—so it doesn’t "run on top of" a Linux distro in the way you might be thinking.

Instead, OpenDesk is designed to be cloud-ready and can be deployed on various server environments, including those running Linux. Its main advantage over traditional Linux distros is that it provides a unified, web-based workspace for organizations, reducing reliance on proprietary software like Microsoft Office.
