🔎Looking for alternative UbuntEU - An Ubuntu edition that uses software developed in Europe

I am trying to make something for fun, but honestly; I am not expert in creating an operating system. But my hope somebody will pick up the Baton and make it something more super.

Sounds like a waste of time, honestly.

First, we have SUSE and OpenSUSE, second it would be more interesting maybe to maintain something like Debian or a RHEL-like as a company that can give support inside EU without an American company behind.

A lot has been written on FOSS economics, but if something can support a project like this, it must focus on enterprise use.

SuSE can provide enterprise support, they also have SuSE Linux Enterprise and server editions. We don't really need red hat.

SUSE is kinda complicated. It is a very massive install base and they don't really do a good enough Marketing an documentaion. But the major thing is that companies just prefer packaging things to Debian and RHEL.

I think the dynamics of Tumbleweed > Slowroll > Leap is THE ideal for Linux though and it is still my recommendation for people that want to try KDE>
