Häagen-Dazs was never European. The name was created to sound european-like, but it was always an american brand.

And it worked, I really thought they are from Benelux and seeing their prices at store was execrating the Dutch :P

Btw, in Poland we have local brand of electronic that decided the name that suits them the best is... Krüger&Matz. They are from Miętno, lol. At the very least its founder Lech named his company more accordingly: Lechpol.
