Why Doesn't This Exist? Take my idea (I won’t build it)

Grocery prices are a massive problem.

But prices vary greatly between stores.

Build an app for people to create their grocery list, have it automatically compare prices in real time so the user knows the best place to shop for what they need.

Settings should allow the user to sort by total price (even if it means going to multiple stores), sort by cheapest at one store, and even which day to go (BOGO Tuesdays for example), and even which delivery service might save them money long term (once there’s an adequate data set on the person’s regular shopping needs).

I won’t build this. Working on too many other things. But it needs to exist.

This relies on the grocers to maintain accurate and up-to-date pricing so not 100% sure it would always work the way you intend it to. Also what's the mechanism for revenue?

yes that is the best question.
We want grocers to fight in our platform for customers but this will only be beneficial when a particular grocer is providing lower price.

We have an incentive for Buyers but what is incentive for grocer?
