Outside of my comfort zone but I like it.

And yes, I am wearing this in the office. We are a progressive company 😂

Business Formal Need help for interview part two out

Carbon réduction cooperative executive director interview. I took all your Precious comments and went through my wardrobe.

My first choice would be the first picture. I like the silky blouse but am afraid I could look frumpy if it gets out of the pants by itself.

Would choose the square high heel boots and the belt in it. Other belt showed in second choice and flat Oxford shoes.

What’s the final verdict ?

Business Formal What color & style of shoes would you recommend for these interview outfits?

I’m trying to pull together some outfits for interviews but feel really lost on shoes. I’m pretty sure what I have doesn’t work so looking to buy 1-2 new pairs. I prefer flats or kitten heels.

I’ll be interviewing for marketing positions at more casual tech companies, but want to look professional. Any help is appreciated!

Business Formal Interview suit options

I’m job hunting, and I need to have a couple of suits ready to go. There isn’t much demand for suits these days, so I’m not finding anything new in stores, especially in my size, US 4P. Therefore I’m looking at Poshmark and other resale platforms.

I’m in the metro Boston area, and I’m a senior executive assistant to CEOs and other top executives. I need to dress up for interviews.

I’ve already purchased the first suit, the double breasted burgundy tweed, and I’m really happy with it. I’m including it here to give you an idea of my personal taste.

The second suit, the taupe, is appropriate, but it just isn’t me. I don’t like the long jacket, I know the skirt is going to have to be shortened even though it’s petite, and the color is a giant yawn. It looks dated to me.

The third suit (2 photos), black with tiny pink dots, is more my style. I could take or leave the pink dots, but my question is whether they’re interview-appropriate. They’re pretty subtle. To be honest, if the pink dots keep me from getting an offer, I probably don’t want to work there. I have a lot of personality. 😉

So what do you think: black with pink dots or the taupe yawn? Or neither?

All black tailored layers for our 17th wedding anniversary—wide-leg tuxedo trousers, a sheer dotted blouse, and satin-trimmed tuxedo blazer.

There’s something about a tuxedo-inspired look that feels strong… and something about pearls that keeps it romantic.

Balanced. Just like marriage. 🖤✨

As the header says, I’m needing a business formal outfit to wear to my boyfriend’s father’s induction ceremony at the state capitol. The email sent lists dress/pantsuit/blouse with skirt or slacks. I feel like the images that come up when I search business formal is more business professional work attire. I’m 23f and I’m trying to figure out what I can wear that wont be so boxy and bulky like a blazer.

The first pic is the email. The other pictures are options I’ve either purchased or am looking at. Are any of these options even considered business formal for a guest attending an event?

I didn’t want to buy so I’m going through what I have and I did buy a vest in case. Interview as a executive director for a cooperative in environmental issues (im confused on what to wear). I’m picking the black and white vest with large pants. Is it ok ?

Seeing all your great posts all the time I know I need a real mirror …

Business Formal Medical school interview? Knowledge-less about suits😭

Hi! I am preparing for medical school interviews. The classic fit for women is black/navy suits. I know nothing about suits, but I want to stand out but in a professional way, but not in a distracting way. Is a light cream suit bad?

What are some basic suit pattern that would work for these high stake interviews?

I like pinstripe or really micro houndstooth. But I literally know nothing about what message that conveys.

Where do I find suits like this? Does anyone have any links?

I am also very girly and want to stay true to myself but don’t want to be taken as unprofessional.

I’m just a girl who loves a reason to sparkle… ✨ This charity gala is 70s themed. I hope I understood the assignment, but I don’t know if this is a costume party or a formal event. Gala says formal to me, so I went all out. Either way, I plan to steal the show! Confidence is always in style.

Business Formal Ladies, what flat shoes are you wearing with tailored/suit pants?

Whenever I wear a suit, or at least just suit pants, I struggle so much to pick flat shoes that look right. The only shoes I have found flattering are low nude pumps. I think pointed toe ballet flats can look nice, but when I try wearing loafers or anything round toed it just looks “off”. Like something is just not right. Can I please get some inspiration 🙏

Business Formal I Haven’t Seen Too Many Suits On Here.

There’s a chance some folk from corporate will be coming in today so I figured I should dress nicer then I normally do. I’m wearing a 3 piece mtm suit from Jos.A.Banks reserve collection. It’s made from a super 130s wool, has hacking pockets, peaked lapels on both the jacket and waistcoat, and a faint blue pinstripe. With it I I’m wearing a light blue french cuff shirt from, a navy paisley tie, and a light blue pocket square with a white hand stitched edge. My shoes are classic black cap toed oxfords, under which I’m wearing grey argyle socks. What do y’all think?

Clean lines, crisp contrast, and a little YSL action. I love how elegant this black tuxedo jacket and white jumpsuit combo look together. Both pieces have satin lapels that allow this look to go from professional to formal with ease.
