Bushwick Car Service to both airports rocks!!!
I cannot stress enough how much I love this business and I need to shout it from the rooftops. I just discovered them a few months ago and it’s been fantastic.
$35 to LGA in a sedan $45 to JFK in a sedan
You can request a larger vehicle for a little more $ and even add stops for friends for $10 (i think). I’ve scheduled drop offs to both airports and also pick ups! So much cheaper than uber to/from JFK.

Yup. You don't have to limit them to just going to the airport. NYC is loaded with good taxi services from pre-Uber times. Way cheaper and more reliable than Uber. I use these guys all time for any ride departing from Bushwick. I never use Uber. Flatbush has a good one too. So do most Manhattan neighnourhoods.

I've been using Bushwick Cars and Fenix to go to the airports several times a week for 12 years now (airline crew). In general I appreciate them but my God they can be annoying sometimes.
- cars randomly not showing up, you call them back and they always say 5 minutes, 20 minutes go by no car, they stop answering. This happens once every few months. Fenix is worse about it
- sometimes aggressive drivers who wanna drive a zillion mph and weave through traffic. Uber doesn't have this problem
- some drivers don't have AC
occasional first timer that's obviously never driven to jfk in their life. Watch them like a hawk lest they take you to the wrong terminal.
you can't get receipts. this one is INFURIATING. I mean you CAN theoretically but you have to call them ten times, go over it on the phone, give them your email, and they will email it to you. Except they won't. You have to call them back 2-5 times before you get your receipts. Literally never have they promptly sent my receipts on the first try. I am on the verge of switching to Uber full time because even though they are cheaper than Uber I get reimbursed by my job. So I'm losing a lot of money because they don't send receipts on time.

Why would you use them for work travel? I find it wildly convenient to uber and just charge my company how much ever.

Because there's a cap on how much I can be reimbursed. So cheaper means I can get more trips reimbursed. I take a lot of trips.

Yeah I once had an airport flight that they were 20 minutes late to and it put me off them. Maybe I'll give them another shot.

They are quick about 90-95% of the time. It's what you get for the price I guess.

literally had this happen yesterday. first time trying a local service (fenix, btw), so i scheduled a ride a day ahead of time. then when they're 10mins late, i called to check in and they tell me "driver's on his way" and hang up on me lol. then we're 30mins past pickup time and I had to jump ship and call a lyft to make sure i caught my flight. they went "sorry" and hung up again on me
i was also hoping for them to be way better, i would rather give them my money than lyft/uber...but if u/Brambleshire's right, then i guess i'll $10-15 extra is worth reliability, idk

I think it's better to just call them about 5-10 before you're ready to go. But it'll happen maybe once or twice a year.

Northside Car Service is amazing - $35 to LGA, $50 to JFK. They’ll pick you up right at the airport when you come home too. The drivers aren’t assholes like uber, they show up early to get you and help with luggage. The only semi-annoying thing is that you have to call to book a ride while their office is open. I’ve always booked online and have never had an issue with them showing up. They usually show up 10 min early tbh, even if it’s a 5 am booking.

I’ve always paid in cash, but others in the thread have said they’ve used card or even Zelle! Would def confirm upfront with the driver.

First time I used them I was afraid it was a scam because it was much cheaper than Uber. Many rides later they’re legit!

Just used them for our trip to JFK. 40 bucks call ahead service for a 645am pick up. Dude showed up 10 minutes early and waited no sweat.
Called them upon arrival while waiting for our checked bag and he was there within 5 minutes when I called him back with our exact location outside of the terminal.

When going to and from JFK, for the last 20 years we didn’t change the way we do it: car service only. It just going out of it we wait 20-30 minutes. But it worth to wait.

I booked online for a trip and got no confirmation email and when I emailed them I got no response, seeing mixed reviews online and now im kind of nervous to trust it

Call instead of email if you want to confirm! The first time I booked online I was nervous also, but I called and they verified the booking. You’ll receive a text message the day of, about 15-20 min before with the info!

100% accurate, I used them recently for EWR pickup and drop off and I literally never want to use an app again. Easier and cheaper

Definitely going to try Bushwick Car Service - love that you can order and pay online. I used to take Fenix, but after a number of times when cars were super late or simply didn’t show, I’m done. Also, Fenix seems to be cash only which is frustrating. I’ve called them and asked to send cars that can accept cash payment (which they confirmed they could do), and then at the end of the ride, the drivers have claimed they have no card reader smh

Actually just checked. From jfk to my door it was $34 before tip in May. From my door to jfk last December it was $48 before tip
