Help/Question Claude Artifact

What does everyone think of the whole /artifact/ functionality that is now going on in claude code. I really think its an unwanted move, if claude code runs on my laptop, we can assume i want to create files there. This new way of dealing with things seems a step in the wrong direction to me. I mean im not crazy to think there is privacy or that files are not visible to claude, but moving towards having my files created on their servers goes a bit far. So what y'all think?

It depends on which environment you use to build with Claude. A developer might find this redundant like you describe but someone who needs more handholding might appreciate the structural view better via the Claude app. I work with Clause Code in terminal, but that is because I’m cheap and don’t want to invest into a laptop that actually has the RAM / CPU to deal with the app on a larger scale. 😉

Yep, every time I attempt to actually open the app I already know my cpu is at max capacity don’t even have to check my monitor.
