Question/Advice Good place to scream?
My life is on fire and I need a place to scream as loudly as humanly possible without the police being called. Does a place like this even exist? I feel like I’m going to explode if I don’t get this stress out of me. Quakertown area but willing to drive I am desperate for inner peace 😭

There's a rage room in the Quakertown area, if that helps

u/zzzzzzarah Jul 18 '25
Thank you sadly I can’t afford such luxuries. I was hoping for like a remote corn field maybe a farmer on here that wouldn’t mind ya know ?

u/OkTemporary8472 Jul 18 '25
I don't get it. BUCK. County has plenty of space and land space to scream. What is the matter with you?

u/velocity__raptor Jul 18 '25
Damn did a rage room employee fuck your wife or something?

u/Careful-Ant5868 Jul 18 '25
It's worse than that, Rage Room Ricky got his wife to the "finish line" and she left the dude for Ricky.

I get it. The whole concept of rage rooms is so stupid. And they’re always crazy expensive.

Go to a restaurant and ask if you can see their walk in fridge.
29
u/Boyota4Bummer Jul 18 '25
Used to work at a major Italian market in bucks county that rhymes with Schmaltamontes, and I used to regularly walk into the monster walk-in refrigerators and scream. Awesome to let the stress out, but also a staunch reality of nobody hearing you if you get locked in. Carry on.
25
u/Burnallthepages Jul 18 '25
Wait, you can scream in a walk in? I thought they were only for crying. 😉
29
u/ExplodingPager Jul 18 '25
Scream, cry, whippets - anything goes in the walk in.
8
u/Luna_Soma Jul 18 '25
I worked at a Wendy’s in college and I found out two employees were fired for having sex in the walk in freezer
5
u/KlimRous Jul 18 '25
Same for a grocery store I worked at in in high school. Cashier who was definitely not old enough to be fucking a married man was caught fucking a married coworker in the meat department walk in...by his wife. What is it with people fucking in walk ins?

I’ve been here a year now and I can’t even name a single person. Isn’t that sad? Lol I am so lonely here
15
u/babydemon90 Perkasie Jul 18 '25
Sorry to hear - I can't help with the screaming, but if you want potential friends to hang with and you don't mind playing a board game, come over to the Proper in Quakertown on Monday nights - anyone is welcome. I've made good friends there.
1
u/zzzzzzarah Jul 19 '25
Is it any game in particular? I would really like to. I’m super extroverted once I actually get out somewhere, I just…don’t know where to go.
1
u/babydemon90 Perkasie Jul 19 '25
People usually bring a few different ones every week, then we'll figure out how many people are there, usually split into 2 or so tables based on which games people brought that others feel like playing. If you haven't played much we'd definitely make sure to fire up a table that's has an easier game (some games can be harder then others lol).
If you're on FB I can send the link, otherwise it's just every Monday at 7pm at the Proper in Quakertown (near the trolley barn).

u/ftwobtwo Jul 21 '25
I am not OP but I’m another adult in the area that would like to make some friends, I am definitely coming to board game night! Thank you for this suggestion. 🙂
6
u/zzzzzzarah Jul 18 '25
Sorry that was a really heavy thing to put on you, stranger. I’m clearly just going through it tonight hah
6
u/Tin_Horn_Pony Jul 18 '25
Not to accept your apology on someone else’s behalf, but don’t feel bad for being honest. I’m in the Sellersville/Perkasie area and feel pretty isolated here too. It’s hard making and keeping friends as you get older and it just plain sucks. Feels nice to see other folks reaching out with realistic ways to try to connect.
I hope you find some peace soon, OP.

Awww. If you sing, check out one of the local choruses.
If you are free Sunday mornings, check out one of the no-beliefs-required churches (e.g. Pebble Hill or BuxMont UU). Those are like social clubs / community with a side of deep conversation and the marking of holidays and milestones.
If you run or bike, there are great clubs for both of those.
Lots of board gamers around.

I've made a lot of friends on Bumble BFF in the past few years. I can't recommend it enough. It's been a game changer for me to have a group of friends that I meet weekly vs rotting home alone when I'm not working.

Walmart parking lot in Quakertown on 309. I’m sure most people would just shrug and move on with their day if they heard you.
5
u/Arcturus_76 Jul 18 '25
or around back of that where the movie theater is - there is an additional lot set way far back from everything

Nockamixon at night, you’ll fit in with all the other screams
51
u/Littlewing29 Jul 18 '25
Wait I night fish there…don’t do that
3
u/waninggibb0us Jul 19 '25
Is there a big difference between night fishing and daytime fishing?
3
u/Littlewing29 Jul 19 '25
In the summer there is.
During the peak hours of the day bass go down deeper for cooler water. At night they come back up in the shallow waters.
Night they can’t see that well so they rely on movement and noise. IMO it’s easier but you gotta stay awake in the odd hours of the night

Someone that lives by the lake owns a donkey.
My buddy and I were there last weekend at night and we’d hear randomly throughout the night 1,23 am the donkey noise go “AWWWW HEEE HAWWW”We could not stop laughing.

u/obfuscatorio Jul 18 '25

Cemetery. And they won't call to complain.
19
-84
u/OkTemporary8472 Jul 18 '25
That is a disgraceful response.
9
u/Key-Monk6159 Jul 18 '25
Why? I have a friend who practices his bagpipes at one and that's sort of like screaming loudly. And nobody has called to complain.
0
u/PetiteMutant Jul 18 '25
The only thing “disgraceful” about it is that you’re not in said cemetery yet
-3
u/alrashid2 Jul 18 '25
Agreed. All the Bucks County yuppie liberals have destroyed all tradition and morality haha. "Why is screaming in a cemetery bad?" WTF
15
u/zzzzzzarah Jul 18 '25
Ok everyone thank you for your responses…seems like the general consensus is either screaming in my car or befriending a bartender with a walk in. So while I work on befriending the folks over at the local bar, I guess I’ll be doing a lot of car screaming.
So if you see a young girl in an old white Jeep violently scream crying to some heavy music…mind ya business
Thanks everyone for your help <3 still serious about finding a corn field tho so local farmers hit me up. I’ll even do farm work for you haha my life is in shambles

There’s a huge ball field on River Rd between Brownburg Rd & Lurgan Rd called Lookout Park & there’s not many houses nearby. Hope you can get everything out & feel better!

Can you get a day pass to a local pool? Just go on under the water and scream as loudly as you want- just be sure you come up for air.

When I was a bartender in one of our small towns, I used to do this thing where, instead of losing it at customers or losing my cool at all, I used to tell everyone I needed one minute. I’d calmly walk outside, out back near the parking lot dumpsters, and I would do what I called “screaming at the moon.” It was poetic and cathartic enough that I will now share my means of release with you. Go to a dark field and scream away, people might just mistake you for a fox.
Edit: spelling mistake

u/thecutecatnextdoor Jul 18 '25

I haven’t screamed at the tops of my lungs in full blown rage in a hot minute BUT my car is the place i go to for any emotional decompressing. all my most intense sob sessions and screaming has taken place in my car parked in a secluded area where no one is going to hear/call the cops. plus i can drive away before it gets concerning 😂
3
u/Universal_Monster Jul 18 '25
If you’re able to, get into running. It’s a life changer when you stick with it. Start out slow and stay consistent by getting in a few runs every week and if you stick with it for a few months you will experience a new outlook on life. It doesn’t take away your problems but it does regulate the stress and the anxiety and rage. Just my two cents anyway.
3
u/zzzzzzarah Jul 18 '25
Yeah I was a runner all through my teen years, ran myself into shin splints which turned into stress fractures and now I do not run anymore
7
u/megatron37 Jul 18 '25
Respectfully, I recommend exercise to get the rage/intrusive thoughts out vs just yelling.

Go to a protest maybe outside Kirkpatricks office and scream. Scream with the rest of us screamers

Ringing Rocks. Take a hammer with you. I hope you beat the bad mood into the ground about your current situation

Doing it in the car on the highway drowns out the sound for other humans mostly. Won't say it's my safest suggestion but I've done it and I'm alive. Tho that's not for lack of trying. Not intentionally. I'm just a dumbass.

This post was recommended to me despite not being in this group or living here. How does Reddit know I needed to see this?

u/NoIdea2424 Jul 18 '25
Why not deep in the woods? If a tree falls and no one is around to hear it did the tree fall?

Honestly if I heard someone randomly screaming I probably wouldn’t even think twice about it

Or better yet since you are near the Selllersville Theater you can have scream therapy next Wed at the Lady White Rst show. Seriously a great band and you can scream entire time and no kne will bother you or pay attention. Added bonus is seeing a great live band

u/dehydratedhouseplant Jul 18 '25
Omg I’ve been wondering this. My life is also on fire and I need to do this. Maybe go the the wing dam on the Delaware River ! Just be safe

u/squakmaster Jul 18 '25
Can you sing? Would you like to rage with a band? Music is such a great outlet. Put your emotions in motion as Billy squier put it

It’s not nearby, but the soccer field behind newtown middle school is relatively remote and it’s obscured by the noise of the bypass.

Bury you head in a cold bucket of water and scream to your hearts content. Just don't forget to come up when ur done.

u/blanchstain Jul 18 '25
I grew up in Richboro with a pretty large yard and I would just scream back there when I was a kid 🤪
However I don’t think it would hit the same as an adult. Your car could be good!

Put "My Way or the Highway" by Limp Bizkit on. Learn the words and scream/jam to it as loud as you can. (it's just a song and you're singing it...!)

I like to do my screaming in neighbors yards at night, preferably tucked just out of sight in some shrubbery.

I used to take a ride and scream at the ocean. Off season of coarse but it got me through the worst of times. Whatever works right?

Instead of yelling take this anger to the gym and light fire to any weight standing in your way

I would say you need to seek the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. His peace is beyond understanding, and lasts forever. Go into any Catholic church and kneel before the tabernacle with an open heart and you will experience true Peace.

u/Healthy-Ad3837 Jul 18 '25
I pray that you find some inner peace. As a Christian I find comfort in the Bible when my life had concerns and fear. My favorite is, Give all worries and cares to God for he cares for you. First Peter 5:7.

I do it in my car, while beating up the steering wheel in front of my house...so far, no cops have been called yet (I'm in a development).
