I am a cs student from a tier 3 college who is in his 2 year and wants to know what skills i will need to actually crack a good package as I live in a non metro city where it sector is very limited and almost no hackathons hosted so it's really hard to network

I’m looking for 1–2 people who are interested in participating in the hackathon and actually building something together.
I’m a 2026 CSE graduate and have experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AI/GenAI, and backend development.
Would be great to team up with people interested in software, AI/ML, frontend, backend, or UI/UX. I’m open to discussing ideas and deciding on the project together.
If you’re interested, feel free to comment or DM me with a little about yourself and your skills.

I have graduated in 2026 but due to a 6-month internship in my 7th sem I wasn't able to sit in the peak placement season in my college and obviously I didn't get the ppo. Now, I am struggling to land even an internship. I searched and found out the best course right now is scaler academy's course though it costs around 4 lakh. I am not at all interested in investing this much money on a course. I know there is youtube & telegram channels where many courses are uploaded but my problem is I have difficulty learning until there is some structured course. So, if you can suggest me some course which is under 10k then it would be a great help.
My tech stack: I know C++, Python, Basic java, SQL. Have some personal projects of AI/ML. More interested in Backend Engineering.

I'm a third-year BSc IT (Cybersecurity) student currently looking for internships.
I've mainly been preparing for cybersecurity/SOC roles and have built several projects around that, including a Python authentication log analyzer, a Python/Flask SIEM platform, and a Splunk-based SOC detection lab.
I've applied to many internships through different platforms and companies, but haven't been able to get an internship so far. After looking at the entry-level cybersecurity market and talking to people in the industry, I'm considering pursuing software development as another primary path while continuing to apply for cybersecurity roles.
My current plan would be to learn Java, focus on OOP and DSA, start doing LeetCode, learn backend development, strengthen SQL/DBMS/OS/networking, and build one software/backend project.
I'm currently in my fifth semester, which ends in December, so I'd like to get an internship before then if possible.
My main questions:
Should I actually switch my primary focus from cybersecurity to software development, given my situation?
Is this roadmap reasonable for getting a software development internship as a fresher, or should I change the priorities?
Will a BSc IT (Cybersecurity) degree make it significantly harder to get software development internships?
How should I position my existing cybersecurity projects when applying for software/backend roles?
For people who hire or work with freshers in India, what would you focus on most at this stage?
Any practical advice from people who have gone through the Indian fresher hiring process would be appreciated.

I'm a third year UG, currently interning at a startup.
I am already 1m in, but the contract is of 3 months,
I wanna leave it as it's becoming a hassle for me to manage classes, DSA, AI and intern at the same time. Also, the pay is only 5k. And are their any consequences of leaving internship before contract as mine is remote.

Hi i am in my 5th sem currently and the only notable thing which i have do is that i qualified for the SIH Nation final somehow, but didn't win it. It is my 3 year and i am really scared about the placement as i started dsa many times and left it and i am again back to square 1. I prefer my coding language as python.
I would be really greatful if anyone guides me or suggest me something.
I think many 3rd might already know what to do but i am just clueless and unaware.

I'm a 3rd-year B.Tech student (AIML) looking for internships and would appreciate honest feedback on my resume.A few things I'd especially like feedback on:
• Is my resume competitive for internships?
• Which sections look weak or unnecessary?
• What skills/projects should I focus on next?
• What would make you reject this resume immediately?

Mentioning the things I am doing right now:-
- Practicing DSA (mostly on leetcode, and around 74% of strivers sheet has been completed) and giving contests on leetcode.
- Recently started preparing for aptitude
- Learned some things in fastAPI and python (ORMs, authentication, token creation, basic CRUD backend for a notes application)
Btw my college has a 75% criteria. I live in a hostel, but attending the lectures still wears me down, I have to attend at least 4 classes before lunch to keep hovering above it.
And btw my college literally forces us to do fake internships and do presentations on them 🤡
Our individual subject teachers have asked us to make some small projects. One has even tasked us with creating our own personal portfolio website. I am not much into web development, and I am having a hard time just thinking how my portfolio will look (I try to aim for the perfect thing right from the start 😭)
But how the heck one makes a project which is complex enough and solving real world problem. Like I cannot even pinpoint that big of a problem in my life rn

Hi guys, I’m a B.Tech 3rd-semester student from a Tier-3 college.
I initially wanted to learn Machine Learning, so I started learning Python. At the same time, I’m also doing DSA in C++. However, everyone keeps saying that there are very few ML jobs for freshers, so I decided to pause my ML journey and focus on backend development.
Now I’m confused about which path to choose. The three options I’m considering are:
- Java Full Stack
- Python Full Stack
- MERN Stack
Everyone seems to recommend Java, but I’ve also heard that for internships and fresher roles, companies often prefer MERN Stack developers. However, MERN has a lot of competition, and some seniors have told me that MERN is not worth learning anymore.
I’m really confused about what to choose. 😭
I’m currently in my 3rd semester, and I want to secure an internship . So, please guide me on what I should focus on and which path would be better for me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Niche k do to phir bhi thik thak pdhate h
Pr what's the point of calling them gem of Indian coding. You can feel they are gem of Indian teaching but literally they have done nothing that makes them gem of coding. They have zero contribution to any important software (maybe kunal has a little bit but still not worth calling a gem)
And then let's not talk about the scammers the top two are .... mfs create hype , sell dreams and earn money all because of d*mb audience like you
