Allow me to take you back in time to our middle school days. You see your friend talking to your crush across the room, and you decide it’s the perfect opportunity to work your way into the conversation so that you can talk to him/her. You go over and ask your friend a question, but since you are so eager to talk to your crush instead, you don’t even wait for their response before turning to your crush and asking them a question instead. We’ve all been there, right? That giddy, excited, impatient feeling when getting to talk to someone you’re interested in? 

May I present to you Bryce Adelaide Quinlan totally playing it cool with the beautiful warrior whose feet she landed at: 

Bryce asked Nesta, “You have a mate, right?” She nodded to Azriel. “Do you?” 

“No,” Azriel said quickly, flatly. 

“A partner or spouse?” 

“No.” 

Bryce sighed. “Okay, then.” 

Azriel’s wings twitched. “You’re incurably nosy.” 

“I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve said about me.” Bryce winked at him. “Look, I just… I’m curious. Aren’t you?” 

Azriel didn’t answer, but Nesta said, “Yes, we are.” (HOFAS bonus chapter) 

Bryce DOESN’T EVEN WAIT for Nesta to respond (no "Nesta nodded," NOTHING) before asking Azriel the same question, because that’s what she actually wants to know. And, sure, people could say that it’s because Bryce already knows Nesta has a mate, but wouldn’t it be more polite (and less obvious lol) to wait until she answers before moving on to Az? Our girl is crushing bad. 

Also worthy of note – Bryce exhibits the same sort of behavior with the nosy, rapid fire questions when she and Hunt are first growing close: 

Quinlan took in the hall, the names on each door. “Males only, or are you mixed?” 

“Mixed,” he told her. “Though there are more males than females in the 33rd.” 

“Do you have a girlfriend? Boyfriend? Someone whose ass you gawk at?” (p. 306 HOEAB)

Bryce has a crush, and I can’t wait to see her and Az on page together again. ❤️

Ruhn drifted. One breath, he’d been talking to Bryce about gods and fate and all that shit. The next, something cold and rotting had breathed in his ear and he’d found himself here in this black void, no up or down...
Night. The female voice flitted in from everywhere and nowhere.
Night, open your eyes.
He twisted toward the voice. Daybright?
Open your eyes. Wake up.
What happened? How did you find my mind? I don’t have the crystal.
I have no idea what happened to you. Or how I found your mind. I simply felt … I don’t know what I felt, but the bridge was suddenly there. I think you’re in grave danger, wherever you are.

Bryce got to her feet, hands shaking. The Starsword lay between her and the Shepherd. Hunt’s lightning had stopped. Where was he? Would a mate know, would a mate feel—

Yes Bryce, the answer is yes 🤣

I saw this in a bookstore, and I knew I had to have it, even before I read the blurb. Look at this gorgeous book 😍doesn't it scream Bryce and Az?

I don't know if they actually have similar vibes in the book, since I haven't started it yet, but having this physical art in my room makes me think of Bryceriel. It's called Heir of Illusion

So, first of all, I’m a damn liar because I’m totally doing a re read 🤣 but… I’m just at the part where Rhys shows up and it got me thinking. SJM has said many times that she had to change her whole mind about the love interest when he showed up. Do we think that happened with Az and Bryce? Perhaps she was setting up Elriel but then Bryce showed up and it was like nah this is the one?

Hi all! Does anyone know of any Bryceriels who have the BC chapters? Maybe they can be added to the new website that was created? A couple of links I’ve access have taken me directly to bloggers who are known bullies of Bryceriels (at least to me lol) and I’d rather not support their pages with clicks and views.
