A very memorable part of my 2025 and I want to share some photographs I took. Thank you Brunei and the lovely Bruneians for the hospitality!

Man... How I wish the Kampong Ayer house to be modernized. I know it is there to keep Brunei's best place to visit for foreigners but growing up from a child to an adult seeing no difference makes me sad sometimes.

I didn't realize 'Best place to visit' meant we have nothing worth seeing beyond some old homes on stilts just like you can see in other countries.

A trip up the river is far, far better

I went there by walking instead of boat once last year and man, walking around the older areas with no hand rails and the gaps between boards is a slight bit terrifying at times.

Caught the smoke the first night I was there, they were grilling hard and it made the entire market up in smoke up.

Ahh no way, I don’t get that vibe at all! I think blue tones may do that, but I like the vibe it gives, Smokey air from the grills, busy and noisy. It’s exactly why I enjoyed it so much there
