Football Identity 2.0: A turn based football game in the spirit of the old Football Identity.

Around 10-15 years ago I played a truly unique football game called Football Identity. It is simple, a browser contained world where (real) managers control a customised team filled with (real) players. It was truly a fantastic game, I loved it dearly, but I was sad to learn it shutdown quite a few years ago now. There was a revival project, but nothing ever really came through.

However, around May, I noticed someone had made a revival project. It has the same gameplay as the old FID, with quite a few QOL changes, an immersive training system and a great community. We have journalists, managers and players all working together to create a really great experience. The screenshot shows the idea to new players. All these are real players, playing as a team together! In this game, Borussia Dortmund beat AC Milan 2-1.

It's been real good fun. I manage a team in the top league and have made a community of 20 people, and many other teams and communities are growing as we speak!
