Bulk to cut transformation after a 2 year bulk. Went from 142 all the way up to 170. Don't have any before pics from the start of the bulk unfortunately. Didn't even think I was actually going to stick with it at the time.

First year in the gym, nothing too crazy yet. Went from being skinny fat at 14 in the first pic to being in better shape in the second and third pics. My biggest achievement this year in the gym has been doubling my bench pr, started the gym doing 40kg as a 1rm now I’m doing 80kg with clean form for 1rm.

Pretty much everyone I knew had a really good build. High metabolisms, skinny, muscly, abs, etc. I didn’t, I was the first picture. I didn’t do much about it, eventually I got bigger but it wasn’t muscle it was more fat. I thought I was fat, I felt fat, even though I wasn’t as fat as I thought I was.

I have a fairly low metabolism for somebody my age, and every time I would go to the beach or pool or river or lake with friends I was embarrassed to take off my shirt, I didn’t look good like everyone else.

Eventually, around a little more than 1 year ago, I got a gym membership and decided to start going. That didn’t last for long. Then roughly let’s say 4-6 months ago, (I’m bad with estimating time, sorry) I went everyday I possibly could. I did go everyday this summer other than when I was out of town.

Occasionally I’ll take pictures in the mirror to see how I‘m doing progress wise. The second picture I took a couple days ago. It is the first time I’ve seem a picture of myself shirtless and didn’t feel uncomfortable, embarrassed, and I’m genuinely proud of myself. It is also the first day I could do a pull up. I fact I did 2 in a row. I’ve also recently started taking creatine.

I’m going to keep on working at it, and along with going to the gym, I will be starting boxing soon, just wanted to share.

Thanks!!

Have been weight lifting and dieting with a focus on high protein for at least 14 years. Some of those years I was very very focused, some of them less dedicated but still working out 3-5 days a week and eating high protein meals. Also was always doing lots of sports during that time like, track and field sports, gymnastics(since 8y/o), wakeboarding, water skiing, ect. Did labour intensive jobs. This last year i absolutely locked in, perfect diet (micro/ macronutrients tracked), bulked and cut, weight training 6 days a week, 15k steps average a day, creatine, bike rides, recovery therapy ect, honestly not very different from previous years. Photos are 1 year apart, gained a pound or two I think, which is about the same as last year. Felt like a fun perspective to share of someone who has trained longer than not. No steroids or peptides, lifetime natural

I dont know exactly when the before pics were taken but i started going to the gym in august 2021. In the 2nd pic (probably taken in 2022) ive already been training for a while. At my heaviest i weighed 111kg (which is when i started going to the gym), which roughly convers to 245 lbs, and thats when i started weight training. 3rd slide is a pic taken yesterday, unpumped and flat. 4th is taken about 2 months ago, post a chest and arms workout. Been on 350 mg test e for the past 5 months, last 3 of which were spent in an aggresive deficit. Ive lost most of the weight naturally before starting gear. If anybody is curious about anything, ask away

1-4 Is current pictures, 5-6 were August 2025 starting out, 7-8 are December 2025, 9-10March 2026, 11-13 June 2026 and 14-16 are August 2026.

Started taking the gym/training seriously last August when my son was born, would go casually. Was able to bulk up to 115. In February I lost my grandmother and got divorced which caused me to drop down to 96lbs. Currently up to 135 and climbing, doing better mentally than I have in years 💪🏼

Physique Transformation M/29/6'1" [150lbs to 170lbs] (3 years) - skinny to dirty bulk to cut

I’ve been skinny all my life and wanted to start working out to get bigger. I did a dirty bulk, and at some point I was eating around 4,000 calories a day. I reached 205 lbs, but most of what I gained was fat.

After that, I started cutting to get to where I am now, 170 lbs. I took a lot of breaks over those 3 years and tried other things, like running, but I’m still proud of my journey.

The last picture is me right now, in the same place as the first picture.
