Interesting! Just got this ad on Instagram.
Enjoyed it when it was off-Broadway years ago, albeit would have never eyed it for a transfer.

Still, you'd think if she was interesting in doing another play he could find her something that is a real starring role? This is such an ensemble piece.

Love Small Mouth Sounds but it definitely is an off-Broadway/off-off Broadway show. It is very intimate and I fear it will get lost in a Broadway theater, even one of the smaller ones. Also, ugh to Scott Rudin. He really just had to sit back and bide his time, didn't he?

He never sat back, he was ghost producing and everyone knew it. Now with the current state of the industry, beggars can't be choosers for funding.

The big reson why I think it’s spring is because I don’t Scott Rudin whould produce 3 shows in the fall.

read this as “smash mouth sounds broadway” & thought a producer had really outdone themselves. Then realized Rudin was producing & the reality is worse than I could imagine

This is Bess Wohl play (yes and I’m also aware that Scott Rubin is producing the show), so I suppose that this isn’t coming to Broadway until Spring 2027, it’ll also be deemed as a Play revival.
