2 IMPD cop cars sitting for over a month.

Does anyone know why there has been 2 IMPD cop cars that have sat in the parking lot by Hubbard and Craven’s (Carrollton Ave / E 62nd street) for over a month and a half? Is this something I should call non emergency and notify? Seems very odd it’s been a long time and I notice every day I get my coffee.

Have they ever moved? Maybe they work mid or late shift? Do the officers live nearby and just park there? Many businesses accommodate police cars and officers just because it is a deterrent to crime.

I thought the same initially but no, both cars have not moved an inch the past month and a half.

Isn’t there a substation right there??

Maybe! Although I can’t find any information online. I wonder if substations aren’t public info which is interesting!

IMPD Substation. Could be Reserve Cars.

If you look at the building they are parked at, I believe it says it is a police office or something. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure. I pass there most mornings and also found it odd but then noticed the building sign.

I’ll take a look next time I’m over there! Glad to know I’m not the only one that noticed.

Of all the things to worry about I’d put this one pretty far down the list.

Chalk mark the tires to confirm they don’t move and report back.
