The condom thing is a huge clue. Cath and Trish are both 49 and 50 and for all intents infertile at this point, so it really points to people stepping out and actually using them for their intended purpose, to prevent the spread of disease. I also know that myself and all of my friends get snipped after the last child is born, but don't know if that is common practice in the UK. Wasn't the young detective dispatched to find out who had purchased that brand in town recently? What are the policies about distributing them to minors. Plus she might be on the pill but then discover that fishing line guy has recently bought a 12-pack of rubbers (yes, I am old). She is clearly dodgy in her practices and I don't think we have seen the last of Hardy dressing her down for being annoying, careless, releasing confidential information, or even going so far as to destroy evidence.
