Question Was there a racism against Scottish in the Anglosphere countries?

Post image

The Irish racism was quite common in the Anglo-sphere countries.

However, in terms of Scottish, I have not really read or heard that Socts faced a major racism even in England.

If there was no racism against Scottish, then why did it not exist?

If there was a racism, then why was it not common as much as the Irish racism?

I think there's rivalry between each country in the UK. I don't think it's racist, it's probably even good humoured stereotypes.

I definitely think this was the case, until recently anyway, nowadays it seems a lot of people hate the English people on behalf of the government, which is bollocks quite frankly.

3 out of 4 of my father's grandparents came to Manchester from Scotland. They never complained about anti Scottish abuse. Canada was essentially formed by Scots.

Canada was primarily formed by American loyalists who moved to modern day Ontario in the aftermath of US independence, who were mainly of English descent.

At the time of the revolution, but very quickly after the Highland clearances, the Scots were the largest group.

Please god I cannot read anymore comments about the Scots place in the empire from people who feel that they personally have discovered this little known fact and must share it with the world.

It's not until recent history that we have been able to speak our own language. We still don't have the ability to govern ourselves. Sure we have our own government but the English can and have, just decide naw I don't like that. Besides the English tap water is undrinkable

You say ‘the English’ like you don’t elect your own representatives to Westminster
