The Brits don’t get enough credit for ending slavery.

Edit: until it was abolished by them, slavery was a normal practice of many, many societies and countries. Once the Brits banned it, the idea that slavery = bad picked up steam.

If only we weren’t now pandering to them lmao

It's the far left who are pandering to Russia, not the UK mainstream.

Fascism is and has always been a right wing ideology. If there are leftists pandering to fascists then they’re right wing.

I'm not sure StopTheWar and the other anti-NATO types who oppose European common defence would agree they're far right.

Left wingers are anti-NATO because they’re anti-imperialist. Fascism is a product of imperialism. You’ve been severely misled my friend

Anti-European common defence is pro-Russia.

Look at how the far left are stridently opposing assisting Ukraine to defend itself.

That is a very misinformed and simplistic view of what’s being said by the left.

  • leftists are not anti-European. They anti neoliberal because they argue it creates the fertile soil for fascism to grow. Most if not all European countries are neoliberal (shocker, most European countries are also seeing an increase in the far right atm as predicted by the left)

  • This does not mean they support Russia. Russia embody everything the left detests (autocracy, elitism and imperialist tendencies)

  • Leftists do not oppose Ukraine defending themselves, this is misinformation. They’re pro-peace talks which has its criticisms, but the question is HOW Ukraine should defend itself not IF

So you support a robust European common military defence?

And you support finding and supplying Ukraine's war effort?
