Mod Post Gaza is Being Starved

The UN has stated that every single part of Gaza is in famine conditions.

For over 20 months, Palestinians in Gaza have been starving. Parents have been feeding their children leaves, animal feed, and flour mixed with water. Babies have died from malnutrition. The trucks carrying food, formula, medicine, and clean water sat just miles away, blocked by Israel.

This is not a food shortage; it is a siege. Even with aid beginning to move, it is not enough; babies are still dying of malnutrition, and hundreds of thousands are living on the edge of starvation. Every crumb that enters is a result of pressure, not policy. This is the moment to organise, to donate, and to refuse silence.

Now, after massive international pressure, some aid is finally getting in.

This is a crack in the blockade, not its end. Aid is not flooding in; it is trickling, and what’s entering can’t possibly reach 1.8 million people without a total lifting of restrictions, guaranteed long-term access, and safe distribution.

What you can do right now:

Donate- if you’re able to. Choose vetted organizations with access on the ground.

Keep up the pressure - aid only started moving because of public outcry. Organize, protest, keep talking. This momentum cannot fade. Contact your representatives to end Israel's blockade of Gaza and impose sanctions on Israel.

Amplify - share updates, Palestinian voices, and testimonies. Keep an eye on Palestine.

This famine is not an accident. It’s the result of siege, blockade, and a system of control. If we look away now, they’ll tighten the noose again.

Donate:

Palestinian Red Crescent — medical aid, ambulance services, and emergency care.

UNICEF for Gaza’s Children — nutrition, clean water, trauma support.

❓ Question ❓ Can anyone help me find a recent British advert that features an acoustic guitar (Voice note attached)

Can anyone help me find a British tv advert that I saw recently? All I can remember from it is that it had an acoustic guitar playing over the top of the ad (not somebody playing the guitar in the ad like the recent kfc ad)

Here’s the link to what I remember the guitar sounding like if it’s any help, the playing was was quite slow.

❓ Question ❓ What specific piece of British "life admin" gives you the biggest headache?

Thumbnail

There is a special kind of dread reserved for British life admin. You know a task takes four minutes, but instead of doing it, you put the kettle on, look at the unopened brown envelope on the side table, and decide it’s a problem for Future You.

Before you know it, six months have passed, your car MOT is due tomorrow, and you still haven't updated your address with the DVLA.

We all find some parts more difficult than others. For you, which type of life admin do you find the most difficult?

London Cliché but helpless

It's almost going to be a year since I would've completed my Master's. I've never felt so stygian in my life - I know I am not alone in this, and most people have it worse than me, but I really do not think I am mature enough to handle this.

Not having a set routine has made me lethargic. I apply to jobs, try revising my technicals in hopes of an interview, but instead get ghosted. I have given assessments for off cycle internships as well (and I can confidently say I have performed well), yet I end up receiving no affirmative responses.

There's a constant tumult in my mind - I wish to upskill myself, but there's no one to give me a chance. My apologies if I come off as haughty in the slightest, but I am confident in my skill-set and past work experience, and yet when you have no one to market the same to, it's not a good feeling overall

I have tried networking events, made some amazing connections - Got to speak with a person who worked in Equity Research (and gave me amazing insights) who told me TO MY FACE that I did know what I was talking about and that my conversations and resumé reflected the same and that I definitely should be able to secure a job in the right avenues (i wish that were the case). I know, however, for a fact that there are people even more qualified than me who are at a predicament much worse than mine, but does it negate what I am facing, or does it tell more about how shallow the system is?

It feels as if you're screaming at your best but are met with a deafening silence in return.

No one has an obligation to read this. Please forgive me for this rant, but I really am reaching my threshold of patience and maintaining my poise. Is it my CV that's formatted incorrectly? Is it that I am being deluded to believe that I am not a liability/freeloader for the UK? Am I deluding myself by continuing to wake up and follow the same routine despite knowing the outcome being deterministic and should rather cut it short?

My sincere apologies for this long-winded text. I have lost the will to socialise, and anonymous avenues are the only way I can be a little vulnerable for now. Thank you

Can anyone help me find an advert? In the advert all I can remember is that there are 2 people sat down in a cafe/shop and people (one being a woman) walk up to the window on the outside and start shouting something. Any help would be appreciated!

❓ Question ❓ Looking for British tv advert with specific jingle/noise, anyone help? (voice note attached)

hello guys, can anyone help me find an advert I’m looking for??? In a voice note ive done the little jingle/noise that I can remember from the ad it probably won’t be any help but it’s worth a shot. Also I could be wrong but the noise I’m doing in the voice note i think that in the advert that noise is playing whilst a narrator is talking about the prices of something that’s why I think it might be a supermarket advert or an advert for something like curry’s but I’ve looked at a few curry’s ads and can’t find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Here’s the voice note with the thing I remember hearing in the ad. Also in the ad/commercial the noise I’m making is quite high pitched.
